★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautifully laid museum with very interesting information and examples of silversmithing. The building itself is part of the historic castle of Ioannina that has been renovated to high standards. You don’t have to be an expert in silversmithing to appreciate the effort and experience needed to achieve such a detailed product. Very nice museum indeed. Disabled access, toilets, museum shop and coffee shop are some of the amenities of the museum.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought this would be a random local museum about something super-specific. Which it is, but usually those sorts of museums are fun and a bit pokey, good spots to pass a half hour. This place was NOT that, it was really well-designed and the exhibits were fabulous! The first floor walks you through how silversmithing is done, from getting the silver to the different types of finishing and designs, so by the time you get to the silver on display upstairs you can appreciate them in a whole new way! Fantastic!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found it very interesting , there are a number of videos demonstrating different techniques but if you don't want to wait for the start (they are played on a loop) the information boards are in English as well as Greek. The displays are excellent showing different objects made from silver.
NB take proof of vaccination or negative test as it is required to enter the museum

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made a spur-of-the-moment decision to visit this Museum, and we were glad we did. This is really a first-class exhibit, well worth seeing. Great exhibits, great signage, and very well-thought-out, in the way you move through the museum.
