★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η περιοχή Ντολτσό, μια Παραδοσιακή Συνοικία είναι σίγουρα μια από της ομορφότερες γειτονιές της πόλης Καστοριάς.
Εδώ βρίσκονται μεγαλοπρεπή αρχοντικά, οι βυζαντινές εκκλησίες, τα παραδοσιακά εστιατόρια, καφέ και τέλος η υπέροχη πλατεία Αδελφών Εμμανουήλ.
Μερικά αρχοντικά έχουν μετατραπεί σε εξαιρετικά boutique hotels με σύγχρονες ανέσεις, διατηρώντας φυσικά την παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική.
Λέγεται ότι το Ντολτσό πήρε την ονομασία του από το γλυκό κλίμα που επικρατεί στη νότια πλευρά της πόλης της Καστοριάς και το Απόζαρι από το σφοδρό κρύο που πλήττει τη δεύτερη αυτή συνοικία (από ζόρι).
Από το έτος 1974 έχει κηρυχτεί από το Υπουργείο Περιβάλλοντος προστατευόμενος τόπος εξαιρετικού φυσικού κάλλους και έχει ενταχθεί στο δίκτυο Natura 2000, κάνει λόγο για μια ορεινή παραλίμνια πόλη της Ελλάδας που γνώρισε μεγάλη ακμή τα Βυζαντινά χρόνια.
Dolcho area, a Traditional District is definitely one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city of Kastoria.
Here are majestic mansions, Byzantine churches, traditional restaurants, cafes and finally the magnificent Emmanuel Brothers Square.
Some mansions have been converted into excellent boutique hotels with modern amenities, while preserving the traditional architecture.
It is said that Dolcho got its name from the sweet climate that prevails on the south side of the city of Kastoria and Apozari from the severe cold that affects this second district (by force).
Since 1974, it has been declared a protected place of exceptional natural beauty by the Ministry of Environment and has joined the Natura 2000 network, it speaks of a mountainous lakeside town in Greece that flourished during the Byzantine years.

It is an area worth every visitor to Kastoria. Mansions and old houses that take you to another era, many old Byzantine churches that awe.

As if taken from a fairy tale or a movie scene, Dolcho as it is called is the oldest and most picturesque district in Kastoria, untouched by time, it will make you want to get lost among its stone cobbled streets!
