Αποτελεί ένα μουσειακό χώρο που φιλοξενείται σε παραδοσιακή οικία μακεδονικής αρχιτεκτονικής σε αρχοντικο του 18ου αιώνα ,οικία του Αναστασίου Πηχιων,Έλληνα Μακεδόνα αγωνιστή. Στα εκθέματα περιλαμβάνονται κειμήλια απογόνων Μακεδονομάχων, φωτογραφίες, στολές αγωνιστών και παραδοσιακές στολές της πόλης. Υπάρχει και προαύλιος χώρος που είναι διαθέσιμος για εκδηλώσεις και εκθέσεις. In an area of six hundred sq.m. in Dolcho square of Kastoria you will find the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle. It is a museum space housed in a traditional house of Macedonian architecture in an 18th century mansion, home of Anastasios Pichion, a Greek Macedonian fighter. The exhibits include relics of descendants of Macedonian warriors, photographs, costumes of fighters and traditional costumes of the city. There is also a courtyard area that is available for events and exhibitions.

Μαθαινεις πολλα πραγματα για τους αγωνες και την ταυτοτητα της περιοχης. Definitely a stop at this museum. The gentleman who gave us the tour was fascinating. You learn a lot about the struggles and the identity of the area.

Μικρό, όμως με άπειρες φωτογραφίες και πίνακες Μακεδονομάχων, κειμήλια, όπλα, στολές, τοπικές φορεσιές και χάρτες. Με μόλις 2 ευρώ μπορείς να πάρεις μια γεύση από τον Μακεδονικό Αγώνα, να εμπλουτίσεις τις γνώσεις σου... και να μάθεις πολλά τόσο για το έθνος μας όσο και για τον Παύλο Μελά! Να σημειωθεί ότι ο υπάλληλος είναι πολύ ευγενικός, κοινωνικός, εξυπηρετικός και βοήθησε ενεργά στην ξενάγηση. It really is one of the most important sights of the city of Kastoria. Small, but with endless photos and paintings of Macedonian warriors, heirlooms, weapons, uniforms, local costumes and maps. With just 2 euros you can get a taste of the Macedonian Struggle, enrich your knowledge ... and learn a lot about both our nation and Pavlos Melas! Note that the employee is very kind, sociable, helpful and actively helped with the tour.

Πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να επισκεφτείτε το εν λόγω μουσείο, ακόμη και εάν είστε περαστικοί από την πόλη. Μεγάλης ιστορικής σημασίας, με απίστευτα ευρήματα και συλλογές παραδοσιακών ενδυμάτων, φωτογραφιών εποχής, επιστολών και χαρτών. Η αφήγηση του κυρίου που εξυπηρετεί το κοινό στον χώρο, ήταν συγκλονιστική! Μας τοποθέτησε χρονικά στα συμβάντα της περιοχής, μας έδωσε πολλές ιστορικές πληροφορίες άγνωστες στο ευρύ κοινό, μας καθοδήγησε χρονολογικά και ιστορικά και μας έλυσε κάθε απορία που μας δημιουργήθηκε, από βιογραφικά στοιχεία προσωπικοτήτων ως και το οικονομικό υπόβαθρο κάθε γειτονιάς. Η επίσκεψη μας συνοδεύτηκε από μεγάλη συγκίνηση. If you have had time to visit one and only museum in the area, your priority is definitely the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle! You should definitely visit this museum, even if you are passing through the city. Of great historical importance, with incredible findings and collections of traditional clothing, period photographs, letters and maps. The story of the gentleman who serves the audience in the space, was shocking! He placed us in the events of the area, gave us a lot of historical information unknown to the general public, guided us chronologically and historically and solved every question that arose, from biographical data of personalities to the financial background of each neighborhood. Our visit was accompanied by great emotion.

A	Andreas Mavrakis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Museum for the Macedonian Struggle is located in the South-Eastern part of Kastoria town, in a typical double-storey Greek Mountain Mansion (Picheon's House). Apart from the typical artifacts found and preserved at the time of the Greek Struggle for Macedonia, the displayed costumes and their ornaments, of the era stand out the most! The notable names of Melas, Dragoumis, Bishop Karavangelis and Kalapothakis are exhibited here in detail. The entrance fee was 2€, and certainly worth the visit. Best time to visit this museum in summer is on the weekend or early in the morning when it's not so busy.
