Maintenant le petit lac est envahi par les herbes et les jeux po enfants ne sont pas entretenus...Comme partout! The source is bright and fresh but you do not trust the photos ... it was before! Now the little lake is overgrown with herbs and the children's games are not maintained ... Like everywhere!

Έχουν γίνει πολύ σημαντικές αποστολές με την αρωγή και του ΣΠΕΛΕΟ και των δυτών μελών του με αποστολή ορόσημο, αυτή του 2009, όπου οι δύτες έφτασαν στο φοβερό βάθος των 153 μέτρων, καθιστώντας το σπήλαιο ως το βαθύτερο στην Ελλάδα και ένα από τα βαθύτερα στην Ευρώπη. Η σημαντικότερη όμως αποστολή ως τώρα ήταν το 2015 με την ονομασία “Sintzi Cave Expedition”, όπου ο δύτης Φώντας Πιτσινέλης κατάφερε να φτάσει στα 186 μέτρα, συνεχίζοντας το ρεκόρ του Γιώργου Τζαβέλλα (153μ.) και διαπίστωσε πως το σπήλαιο συνεχίζει ακόμα βαθύτερα. Το νερό μέσα στο σπήλαιο είναι γλυκό και η θερμοκρασία του κυμαίνεται μεταξύ 10-12 βαθμών κελσίου. Η ορατότητα γενικά είναι πολύ καλή, αλλά διαφοροποιείται μεταξύ των εποχών και φαίνεται να επηρεάζεται από τις βροχοπτώσεις καθώς αυτές μεταβάλλουν και την ορμή που πηγάζει το νερό. Σημαντικό στοιχείο της μορφολογίας του σπηλαίου, είναι η δαιδαλώδης έκταση του και η ιδιαίτερη μορφολογία του. Οι βραχώδεις επιφάνειες έχουν λαξευτεί πολλές χιλιάδες χρόνια, από την δύναμη των υδάτων, που σταδιακά διαμορφώνουν το ανάγλυφο λόγω της διάβρωσης. Τα εδάφη που αποτελούν το σπήλαιο είναι από στέρεα και ισχυρά γεωλογικά υλικά, πράγμα που συντελεί στην καλή ορατότητα.
