Skiathos Avaton Hotel - Megali Ammos Beach – Skiathos Greece

We've spent a couple of days here end of July. The hotel is very well kept by the charming staff and we were more than happy with the room, the quiet location in walking distance to the old town and port and had a great time discovering the beaches of Skiathos by car, boat and quad from here. We highly recommend the hotel and hope to come back soon. Thank you so much for everything!

Very good service, comfortable rooms, very nice swimming pool and comfortable sun beds. The last 3 days of our stay the bathroom had a cigarette smoke smell (maybe from the ventilator?) We reported the problem, but nothing changed. It was also a little bit noisy early in the morning.

Very new and nice. Breakfast has like a bakery table with more stuff than the bakery. Nice pool. Rooms are tiny, no drawers to put things and shower leaks all over bathroom floor, but seems to be a requirement in Europe.

This was our 1st time holidaying at the Skiathos Avaton Hotel. Our whole time there was so relaxing mainly because of the wonderful staff. From the time you enter the hotel you feel the hospitality, the smiles and the genuine warm welcome. Angelo the restaurant manager and his team along with the breakfast staff are professional & friendly without being intrusive. Have to mention the barman, sorry I can't remember your name, who made the best cocktails. There are 2 menus one for lunch and one for evenings, serving fresh delicious food. All the restaurants in Skiathos Town were 1st class however on our last night we dined in the " Black Pepper " restaurant within the hotel & can honestly say it exceeded our expectations . We had fillet steak which was cooked to perfection accompanied by a delicious pepper sauce . The hotel is small which makes the stay feel more personal and relaxing. The pool area have the most comfortable sunbeds, better quality than most hotels we have stayed, the staff are happy to serve you snacks and drinks so you don't have to leave the comfort of the sunbeds. Our room was very spacious with a huge bed, but what made it was the jacuzzi on the balcony which overlooked beautiful age old olive trees & amazing mountain views. Would I recommend this hotel .. Absolutely..Thank you Panos & your team . We will be returning.

Very cozy and clean rooms, nice pool area with super comfy sunbeds and fresh towels, you can actually also borrow beach towels if needed. Pool bar with good cocktails, delicious food and good prices. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. City within walking distance, but also free parking lots included if you want to rent a car (I’d totally recommend that ?). Breakfast was also delicious - a variety of cold cuts, eggs, vegetables, as well as cakes and pastries! Will definitely come again! ?

Decent enough place … Check your location to where you want to be before booking it’s a brisk walk to Skiathos town 15/20 mins My quibble ran out of Draught beer today 5€ pint no probs .., So they sell 330ml bottles in the mean time at 5€ Supermarkets 3 mins away 1.60€ pint cans Fix ?

What a fabulous small and friendly hotel. Superb location and immaculately clean. The staff were brilliant and could not do enough for us. Definitely looking to return.

A really nice hotel with exceptional staff. The ones that go the extra mile to feel you welcome during the stay. The hotel is located at the outskirts of skiathos but if you have a rental car than everything you need is close by, if you don't, the hotel will even arrange for a car. I'd definitely come back.
