★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited as part of a Tui trip (I understand they donate to the sanctuary as part of the visit) the volunteers do an amazing job looking after the dogs and cats there.
It was heartening to learn that many of the residents already have new homes lined up in England and other European countries having been adopted...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic place a little off the beaten track. You can walk the dogs before 1pm. It's free but you're able to donate or buy something which supports their work. The dogs are usually available for adoption unless they've already been reserved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an amazing place! They really care for the animals and try their best to re-home them where possible to loving homes, including abroad. If you are on holiday in Skiathos, you can pop up and walk the dogs and enjoy the beautiful scenery :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An incredible place with what can only be described as a group of angels that volunteer their own time to help, commit, care and love for these dogs. If you are visiting you MUST visit. We helped by walking a few dogs a short distance and the shelter was also kind enough to let our daughter take a puppy for a little walk.
Well worth the trip.
A few helpful tips for you:
1) Give the team time to open up in the morning and for the dogs to be fed and calm down. After 9.30 seems a good time which also isn't too hot for walkies
2) Although its hard. Don't be picky. These are dogs, not food items. They all need a walk so it would be helpful to walk whichever dog needs a little help. However, the team are accommodating and if you mention or see a dog you would like to walk im sure they will reserve you a pooch for the next day
3) Wear appropriate footwear. It is uneven and stoned so can be slippy
4) Give a little donation to help with the running costs. Merchandise is also available. Every little helps
