The doctor's visit was a mere nightmare. I looked for a doctor because of a urinary tract infection (UTI). Mrs. Kouri told me on the phone that she had an available spot in the evening hours and that the appointment will cost me approx. 50 Euros. As I was suffering badly, I was very glad that she had a free spot. When I arrived, there were not any other patients, just me and the doctor. I told her about my symptoms, even if I already knew that I had a UTI. I've had cystitis very often (even as a child) and I know what it feels like. So, I just wanted to give my urine to get a prescription for antiobitics. She however wanted to do a pelvic exam. Meanwhile, I kept asking what and why she was doing it, but she didn't answer me. She wanted to examine the copper chain (Gynefix) and couldn't find it (although I just had an examination recently and everything was fine). She then told me that I did not have any UTI (without checking the urine) and that it was probably due to the copper chain. She wrote down a referral for a lab to do a blood test, urine test, and pregnancy test. I asked her why I should do a pregnancy test when I had just got my period and also had the copper chain, which is very safe. Also, I asked her what the blood test should be for. She didn't answer any of my questions. I was in pain and just wanted antibiotics. She took 120 euros off me for a wrong diagnosis and a traumatic experience. Luckily, the next day I found an international practice. A urine test was done there and it was clear that I had a bladder infection. I would strongly advise against this practice.
