Sounion View Villas - Niriidon 29

1,2,3 this is the place to be! Seriously if you arrive at this villa, you feel the warmth and coziness right away. This place “screams” relax and enjoy every minute at you. The interior is light and modern with a sophisticated flair of Greeces culture. If you don’t feel like going to the beach, you can as well take a day off at the lovely spa pool and inhale the summer rays coming down right at you the whole day long. Surrounded by the Greek nature you don’t want to miss the astonishing view from the terrace on the top of the villa. Take a glass of wine and sit down comfortably during the sunset. This view will blow you away with the sea in front you. Say goodbye to anger and stress. Really. If you feel like being more on the adventurous side, the Poseidon temple and Athens are only a short drive away. History in its full glory can be seen there. As well there a lot of beaches nearby to explore which are awesome with mix of sand and gravel. Last but not least the hosts Philipp and Frances are really awesome. These two care about everything so that your holidays will remain in beautiful memory for a lifetime.

Only 45 minutes away from the airport by car we have spent a week at this marvelous place. Frances and Philipp are great hosts. They are always available, have very useful tips and insights and are super friendly. They make you feel like coming home. Initially, they only wanted to renew certain parts of the house they told us but then ended up refurbishing the entire premise. And guess what, it was absolutely worth doing so. The dominant colors are white and blue just like the Greek national flag. The interior design is kept very clean and modern. In the ground floor you will find a stylish combination of living and dining room followed by a state of the art kitchen. The entire ground floor is surrounded by a terrace which can be accessed either through the living room or the kitchen. In the upper floor you find a stylish bathroom and three bedrooms. One of them is equipped with a bunk bed for younger children the other on with a queen size bed. Finally, you will find the master bed room with a king size bed and an astonishing view of the near by bays and at the horizon you can spot the temple of Poseidon. Certainly, you can step out on a large balcony to enjoy the view. Speaking of the near by bays, within a 5 minute drive you will reach different very nice beaches with cool beach bars. The water is crystal clear and the beaches have a coarser sand. Also only 5 minutes away is the little town of Lavrio. Here you stroll through the little streets and stop at one of many very nice cafes / bars or you can visit the local markets. If you are interested in culture you can visit the nearby temple of Poseidon or you just circumnavigate the coast towards Athens which is only an hour away. You can also go for island hopping either by chartering a boat of taking the ferry. It doesn’t take longer than two hours to get to the close by islands. What you definitely will need down there is car and much more time than only a week to explore the area and to go through the large list of recommendations Frances and Philipp will give you upon arrival. Overall we spent a fabulous week at a fantastic place hosted by lovely people. Thank you very much Frances & Philipp!!! We will be back :)! MTA
