★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an oldie but goodie. George has been making Greek souvlaki/pittas since time immemorial. The shop itself is nothing to shout about but is next to a very quiet square. So, in the summer, sitting outside is nice.
The souvlaki/pitta are, however, quite exceptional with good meat over a charcoal grill. What makes them exceptional, however is the tzatziki (garlic yogurt sauce) made by George himself. Truly a must in souvlaki lore...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place in Athens, if you enjoy traditional souvlaki. It's not a big tavern it's not luxurious, but you will eat the tastiest souvlaki (pork and chicken), service is friendly and authentic as is the owner. Highly recommended place for a quick tasty meal!
