★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spianada is the largest square in the Balkans.
No the the imperial French and the English during the occupation helped into shaping the square in its current state.
The square is much older though but smaller. The houses that were located there were torn down in order to widen the square in order improve the defence of the old fortress. With a wider square the defenders had better visibility of attacking forces and also the attackers had nowhere to hide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was amazing, with huge portions for a low price. It’s just outside of Old Towne so it’s super easy to walk to from the cruise port, yet doesn’t have the huge crowds. I highly recommend.
