Το SPIROS & VASILIS είναι ένα από τα «ιστορικά» εστιατόρια της Αθήνας, μετρώντας πάνω από 40 χρόνια συνεχούς παρουσίας στην ίδια διεύθυνση, στην οδό Λάχητος 5, πίσω από την Αμερικάνικη Πρεσβεία και το Μέγαρο Μουσικής.
Η λειτουργία του ξεκίνησε τον Οκτώβριο του 1974 όταν ο Βασίλης Πολυμέρης μαζί με τον αδερφό του Σπύρο, άνοιξαν το δικό τους Γαλλικό εστιατόριο στην Αθήνα.
Σήμερα την σκυτάλη του εστιατορίου έχει αναλάβει ο γιος του Βασίλη, Γιώργος Πολυμέρης.
Η Εntrecôte Café de Paris στην αυθεντική της εκτέλεση, το σπιτικό Patefoiegras, τα Μπουτάκια Βατράχωνκαθώς και τα Σαλιγκάρια Βουργουνδίας δίνουν το στίγμα τους στο μενού του εστιατορίου, το οποίο ακολουθεί την παράδοση της κλασικής γαλλικής κουζίνας με αυθεντικές γεύσεις από την Provence της Γαλλίας

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They forgot us. We arrived at 8:55 to an empty restaurant, by 9:20 the restaurant was full. By 10 all tables had food, we still only had water. We had added 3 dishes to the order. We started getting served by 10:20. Sorry but that is not service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited in early autumn so the tables were set across the street in a public park. Although it is nice to sit among the trees, other than that there was nothing special in the decoration.
The service was really good as well as the staff behaviour.
The food, which i will judge against its price, was nicely presented. The taste was not something special to my opinion (to be fair we were 4 persons from which 2 of us were not impressed with the food and 2 liked it a lot).
I don't think i would go again but i think it is worth a try since it is all a matter of opinion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent! We went via dineathens for the first time and everything was perfect. The entrecôte and the salmon ideally prepared, the service great, the atmosphere great. I stress that they offered us without extra charge a selection of 4 dessert drinks, which were not in the menu. The homemade limoncello was maybe the best I have ever tasted. A highly recommended restaurant, and I now want to go again to test the normal menu

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a classy, old fashioned French restaurant that serves really good fillet minion. The service is very friendly and professional.
In summer they have outdoor seating too next to local playground...which can get a bit noisy.
This a a really nice place for a special occasion.

We got the chateaubriand which is cooked with peppers (I presume) and has a strong taste of that. It did not suit my taste.
Nonetheless, everything else is very good and the restaurant itself is very cute with a lot of character.
I would definitely go back and request a different dish.
