★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty area on the edge of Old town leading to the new port or the new fort. Plenty of interesting monuments to see including a poignant memorial to those from Corfu lost in war and the horrors of the Holocaust. Walking down to the port you can get a boat to Vidos (1.5 Euro) Island which is worth a look or you can go up the hill and enter the new fortress for free and get some great views from the top. A good few restaurants and shops in the are and as with most of old town its clean and tidy.
