★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walk up the stairs! You got this! Me and my boyfriend did it on a cloudless, nearly 100F day, and we were perfectly fine. Bring water and enjoy the view :) also, read up on why the stairs are significant, it adds to the adventure. There’s a restaurant right at the top and the Patra Castle isn’t far, more pretty views and history.

Be careful when going up/down, caution needed as somewhere the stairs are worn out.

Now- you can't tell the difference between the citadel and lower city. 130 yrs ago I visited and the stairs were natural stone, but with portions sliding. The modern concrete version is in much better repair- but lacks the original appeal. Still: worth while to get the view

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Words are not enough for one of my favourite places in the city. Spectacular view and delightful sunsets. Great atmosphere especially during summer nights when many people gather all together drinking and chatting. The best way to go from the city center to the old castle.
