★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Monastery of Saint Panteleimon is certainly one of the most impressive monasteries of the Holy mountain. It is also called the Russian Monastery because it is inhabited mostly by Russian monks. Vladimir Putin visits the Monastery frequently.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here was warm and had a Russian feel to it. The monks were as welcoming as they had to be sometimes though a bit harsh. The one who accompanied us was answering our questions in great detailing which I liked.
