Απεικονίζει πολύ επιτυχημένα την ιστορία του Μεγάλου Αλέξανδρου και του Διογένη ο οποίος δεν εντυπωσιάστηκε από τη φήμη του βασιλιά της Μακεδονίας. Λαμπρή ιδέα να τοποθετηθεί το άγαλμα σε ένα τέτοιο σημείο που το βλέπει πολύς κόσμος. Αναβαθμίζει την πόλη της Κορίνθου ως τουριστικό προορισμό. Amazing monument related to the ancient history of the city. It very successfully depicts the story of Alexander the Great and Diogenes who was not impressed by the fame of the king of Macedonia. Brilliant idea to place the statue in such a place that many people see it. It upgrades the city of Corinth as a tourist destination.

V	VisitKorinthos Corinth on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το συγκεκριμένο σύμπλεγμα αγαλμάτων αναπαριστά ένα πασίγνωστο γεγονός της ιστορίας: Την συνάντηση του Μ. Αλεξάνδρου με τον κυνικό φιλόσοφο Διογένη. Ο Αλέξανδρος ήταν πολύ στενά συνδεδεμένος με την Κόρινθο, κάτι που δεν είναι και τόσο γνωστό. Ο Διογένης βρισκόταν στην Κόρινθο καθώς ήταν παιδαγωγός για τα παιδιά του πάμπλουτου Κορίνθιου Αριστοκράτη Ξενιάδη. Όταν ο Ξενιάδης τον απελευθέρωσε, Ο Διογένης παρέμεινε στην Κόρινθο και η φήμη του έγινε γνωστή στον Αλέξανδρο από τον παιδαγωγό του τον Λεωνίδα που ήταν μυημένος στην κυνική φιλοσοφία. Μόλις ο Αλέξανδρος βρέθηκε στην Κόρινθο, θέλησε να τον γνωρίσει και έστειλε έναν υπασπιστή του να βρει τον Διογένη και να του τον παρουσιάσει. Αφού ο υπασπιστής τον εντόπισε στο Κράνειο (την αριστοκρατικότερη συνοικία της πόλης) κοντά στο σπίτι της Λαΐδας, του είπε: “Σε ζητεί ο Βασιλεύς Αλέξανδρος να σε δει”. Ο Διογένης απάντησε “Εγώ δεν θέλω να τον δω. Εάν θέλει αυτός ας έρθει να με δει”. Πράγματι, ο Αλέξανδρος, πήγε να συναντήσει τον Διογένη, καθώς μια τέτοια άρνηση, τη στιγμή που είχε χιλιάδες παρακλητικά αιτήματα από ανθρώπους κάθε τάξης,τον εντυπωσίασε. Ο Αλέξανδρος πλησιάζει και του λέγει «Είμαι ο Άρχων Αλέξανδρος». Ο Διογένης ατάραχος απαντά «Και ΄γώ είμαι ο Διογένης ο Κύων». Ο Μ. Αλέξανδρος απορεί για την συμπεριφορά του και του λέγει «Δεν με φοβάσαι;» Ο Διογένης απαντάει «Και τί είσαι; Καλό ή κακό;» Ο Αλέξανδρος μένει σκεπτικός. Δεν μπορεί ένας βασιλεύς να πεί ότι είναι κακό, και άμα είναι καλό, γιατί κάποιος να φοβάται το καλό; Αντί να απαντήσει ο Αλέξανδρος ξεφεύγει και τον ρωτά εκ νέου «Τί χάρη θές να σου κάνω;» Και ο Διογένης ξανά με λογοπαίγνιο απαντά «Αποσκότησων με». Βγάλε με δηλαδή από το σκότος, την λήθη και δείξε μου την αλήθεια. Με το έξυπνο λογοπαίγνιο του Διογένη, που η απάντηση του μπορεί και να εννοηθεί «Σταμάτα να μου κρύβεις τον ήλιο», αναδύεται η βάση της κυνικής φιλοσοφίας, καθώς οι κυνικοί πίστευαν πώς η ευτυχία του ανθρώπου βρίσκεται στη λιτότητα, στη ζεστασιά του ήλιου και δεν πρέπει να ζητά τίποτα από τα υλικά πλούτη. Ο Αλέξανδρος καταλαβαίνει την σημασία της απάντησης και εντυπωσιάζεται ακόμα περισσότερο. Ξεκινά μία μακρά συζήτηση με τον Διογένη που σώθηκε από τον Δίονα τον Πλουσαραίο, η οποία είναι πραγματική διάλεξη πολιτικής κοινωνιολογίας. This complex of statues represents a well-known event in history: The meeting of Alexander the Great with the cynical philosopher Diogenes.
