The place is unique .. the mountains and the clouds are reflected in the lake and it becomes an amazing game in the mind and in the imagination.

Μόλις λίγα χιλιόμετρα νοτιοανατολικά της Βέροιας, τα πλούσια νερά του ποταμού Αλιάκμονα σχηματίζουν μία γαλάζια λίμνη που κυκλώνεται από εύφορες πεδιάδες και χαμηλούς λοφίσκους. Η τεχνητή λίμνη των Ασωμάτων δημιουργήθηκε πριν από 24 χρόνια με την κατασκευή του υδροηλεκτρικού σταθμού, αλλά ακόμα και σήμερα εξακολουθεί να τραβάει την προσοχή των περαστικών. Διασχίζοντας τη γέφυρα του Αλιάκμονα
με το αυτοκίνητο, την προσοχή σας κλέβουν οι ζωηρές αντανακλάσεις των δέντρων στα ήσυχα νερά και καθώς στρίβετε δεξιά με προορισμό τη Σφηκιά και τα Ριζώματα θα μπείτε στον πειρασμό να σταματήσετε στον χώρο αναψυχής (δεξιά σας) για να θαυμάσετε τη λίμνη.

Just a few kilometers southeast of Veria, the rich waters of the river Aliakmonas form a blue lake surrounded by fertile plains and low hills. The artificial lake of Asomata was created 24 years ago with the construction of the hydroelectric station, but even today it still attracts the attention of passers-by. Crossing the bridge of Aliakmonas
by car, your attention is drawn to the vivid reflections of the trees in the calm waters and as you turn right towards Sfikia and Rizomata you will be tempted to stop at the recreation area (on your right) to admire the lake.
