Stratos Villas - Kalyves

Really nice and clear. Remote area. There were a lot of bees near the pool (could be seasonal!)

Amazing place to visit any time during the year, fantastic view and very peaceful. The ideal place to relax from daily routine and the island is one of the best places I have ever been to. I can't wait to visit this place again.

Definitely the best mountain destination i ve ever visited..excellent facilities for a couple and for a family,too!it combines mountain and a quick excursion by car in two of the most beautiful cities of the island!we will be back there soon for sure..

We stayed at the wonderful Straos Villas and had a great time. The villas themselves are lovely. The log fire was a really nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean throughout. A cleaner visited during our 5 day stay, which was also a great touch. The kitchen has all the equipment you will need, but no ingredients (no coffee, sugar, oil etc.). This is no criticism, just a tip for future guests to bring some. The pool is great too and was cleaned every day. The surrounding area is very beautiful. Waking up to sounds of the local wildlife and nothing else was very relaxing and gave the impression of total remoteness. However, it's only a short drive to a local supermarket (Agii Pantes) and even shorter to a local cafe/raki bar (Pemonia). We were there slightly out of tourist season, so not much was open in Pemonia or the closer and smaller village of Melidoni, but I think in peak season there will be more shops and cafes open there. The roads up to the villa are good. Winding, but not too narrow and the locals do not drive aggressively, which I have witnessed elsewhere in the Med. We had a great time and will happily book again hopefully next year!

The stay in Stratos Villas was all perfect. The house is a little bit up in the mountains, but easily reachable by car. The place is super quite and perfect to relax. All is very beautifully arranged and the kitchen is very well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. There was a nice little grey cat passing by from time to time relaxing on the couch. Nikos was very helpful and answered all our requests really quickly. Thanks a lot for this lovely stay.

This has been our 4th stay at this amazing little villa complex. The location in the mountains with wonderful views (sea & mountains) make this an idyllic place for a relaxing holiday while being able to explore the area with beaches and loads of wonderful villages and restaurants nearby (need a car of course!). The villa is perfectly equipped with all kitchen contents (toaster / coffee machine / juicer / oven / hob / fridgefreezer) and cleaned every 3 days with fresh towels supplied. Extra touch is water melon and homemade raki. We feel very welcome at this place and cannot wait again to come back next year

we stayed for 2 weeks, the place is neat. very well groomed, cleaned regularly, and well equipped. the location lets you start day trips in all directions and you can reach northern, southern beaches or the samaria gorge in macimum 1,5 hrs with a car. the view from the 1st floor terrace across the island is especially amazing

Wonderful place to stay. It's quite and far from noisy cities. Yet the main highway is very close. One side it has a great view to the sea on the other an astonishing view to Crete's highest mountains. Car is recommended, free parking space is provided. If you stay during colder weather you may use that amazing firepit inside! The host is attentive and helpful! Defiantly want to come back! The wine was great!
