★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owners are really nice and will help you with everything you need. The rooms are simple and clean, you can find a lot of shops and beautiful nature in walking distance and also the beach is nearby. I would totally recommend a stay at LaKastania!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to stay while in Samothrace! Lovely and quiet garden in front of the rooms. The balcony is having a seaview and you can see watch the sunrise in the mornings. Also the rooms are clean and well equipped plus there is a common kitchen.
And a perfect spot if you are about to hike to the peak of the island - Fengari! It's a 10 h hike though, keep that in mind!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was one of my most pleasant hotel experiences. The rooms are nice and very clean. It's run by a lovely couple who've done everything they could to make our stay as good as it can be. When we had a problem they even came with us to the pharmacy to translate and showed us the way to the nearest doctor. Of course they have great tips on how to explore the lovely island and find the best beaches. Parking right at the hotel is no problem. We rented a scooter because otherwise it can be hard to get to the best places around. Location is right in the heart of Therma where a lot of backpackers are hanging out in the evenings. The hotel itself is surprisingly quiet though. The cafe right next door sells the best pastry on the island...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great host, nice place, kind of hot in the rooms because the building itself is not under shade - but there is AC. Rooms are cleaned daily, beds are good. Located in the center of the small town Therma. Hosts do not speak English, but Greek, German and Turkish, however the interaction was.. surprisingly good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did not have a pleasant experience staying here, the blond lady and her husband (the hosts) were very rude throughout my stay here of 4 days. It felt as they were doing me a huge favour for letting me rent a room with them and I was not even allowed to have the AC on for more than 2 hours per day or else the blond lady would bang on my door and scream at me in Greek. Furthermore on my last day there I found out by accident that the person in the room next to me was isolating as they had COVID-19 and the hosts did not bother to warn anyone in the hostel!
I will definitely not be staying at this hostel again but I will be visiting Samothraki again in the future as the island is stunning and I highly recommend!
