Summertime Apartments - Canal d\'amour

Very basic hotel/apartments - bathroom bins not changed everyday! A/I was breakfast, lunch +dinner. cake (?) or hardbread snack about 4oclock chef did his best with what ingredients he was given. All very basic, what wasn't eaten lunchtime was served slightly differently dinner time. Desserts well there wasn't any! Sorry sometimes there was a mousse yuk! and there was some sort of cake once.A/I drinks vodka, brandy,ouzo, red + white wine, tea or coffee and it was help yourself left on a bar by pool from 11.00 am to 23.00 . Most people went out for the day I think to eat. Ooh one day they opened up a gyros in pool area thought this was in the A/I no such luck wanted to charge us 5 Euros( so not A/I ) Weather was good glad to say and we had a rest. If you want a quick diet holiday go for it!

Hard to rate this place. It was a nice place to stay. Food was good. Staff was friendly. Room was ok. Shower was disaster. No water pressure at all. Lot of negative reviews on hotel before we went. But think 80%of them where just nit picking. And unfounded. The flies where a little issue. Came back covered in bites. But that was every where were went. Sidari it self was a great little town. Plenty of places to visit. Would i recommend the hotel. Yes. But you get what you paid for. So don't expect 5 star when your paying for 3 star.

In a nice location food is ok but not much variety at all, no variety with dessert. The drinks are a joke, swarming with wasps and virtually no choices. All serve yourself which is ok accept the whole wasp and hygiene issue, some of the nozzles appear dirty! Had a few power cuts in this week and everything stops even the water, and the shower leaks terrible,, like the whole bathroom Gets drenchedThe more the week has gone on the worse I've realised this hotel is. It's a shame because it wouldn't take much to make it lovely. I will not use or recommend this hotel at all. The area of Sidari however is one of the nicest in Corfu with reasonable transport to other towns. The local restaurants are nice and fair prices.

We stayes for 10 nights. During this time our room was cleaned only 3 times. Cleaners never knocked and walked in whenever they wanted. Not enough fresh towers. Restaurant had dirty plates and tables. Food was always cold and the same through out our stay. There were 2 power cuts - no electricity for 9 hrs - no air con, no running water (no way to use the toilet). Dont waste your money :)

This is a 2 star hotel! Cheap as chips! Whole place needs a make over! So. . . Rooms are basis, functional and clean, shower curtain does not fit the tray so the floor gets soaked so we chucked towels down! maid's come every day and changed towels apart from Sunday. Food is edible not much choice but you won't go hungry! Self service drinks basic and covered in wasps be careful! Staff friendly, bar evening staff not friendly! No entertainment, same songs every night Weather great October 27 degrees, pool deep but clean. Not a busy place which is good. Location is great so many shops, bars, restaurants near by and eating out is a bit cheaper than England. You can use neighbour's hotels pools and bar pools, we spent lots of time in amadeus a few doors down from the hotel. The island is very Run down. . . All in all a nice holiday!

This hotel is absolutely awful, the worst hotel ever. The rooms are just gross, they need a make over immediately. There is no privacy, as soon as you walk into the room there is just 2 or 3 beds just in 1 room. The maids come everyday to change towels and to clean but they do not knock they have a key and just go to every room and clean, they are nice but they just don't have good manners. The bathrooms had weird smells which was really sickening and there was also a lot of flies in the bathroom. The food was super disgusting, it was so bad i eventually got fed up and stopped eating. The breakfast was good as it was just a normal english (you cant really go wrong) but the lunch and dinner was just awful. What made it worse was the food was ALWAYS cold, even if you came at the exact time it came out it still managed to be cold. Outside where the drinks are located there is a swarm of wasps all over the drinks machines which is off putting. The staff are friendly and will help you get a drink but its still very annoying. This hotel has wasps everywhere, which is very frustrating especially for kids. I gave 1 star because the Area this hotel is in is just perfect, the beach is 2 minutes away there is soo many activities to do on the beach and also right next to the beach there is a strip of shops, restaurants and activity planning shops. You don't need a car or to go far out to have fun. The hotel is awful do not go there & the food is awful. Overall i had a great time outside of the hotel i recommend Sidari as a place to visit just not this hotel.

A poor start due to inadequate room. Arrived midnight so couldn't change it until morning.A better room offered although still not what we had expected. The food was amazing. Authentic Greek dishes each lunchtime and evening. No entertainment, just an evening bar with large screen and over loud music. There was a pool but again overloud music and so many wasps, not a place to relax. We did not use that area at all preferring to visit local bays. A great location but wouldn't stay again unless the place had a complete overhaul.

Bit odd. Arrived from London to tell us our rooms were already booked.. Thank god.. i mean judging by the pics and review of the main hotel, they took us to these 3 apartments around the corner which were actually quite nice. Like little houses. The air con leaked water all over the balcony. The rooms were nice. The food was below average. The pool is small. Besides the hotel itself, the area is nice with a few little shops to get what you need with a couple of bars.
