Beautiful views, the staff was wonderful, affordable rooms, and very clean!

With a 5 star sea view, lovely environment, big pool, helpful and kind staff... It's a definite YES!

The view was extraordinary. Friendly staff; rich and good breakfast. The room was spacious and clean and the towels were changed every single day. Waw, amazing. :) Big parking space. Great pool, nice bar and terrace, just perfect to stay there to drink a beer and enjoy the sea, the view, the peace.

What an memorable experience we had at this lovely accommodation. The service was personal and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was on the terrace and there were lovely tavernas nearby. The rooms were fresh and clean, and the beds were excellent. The view from our rooms was unparalleled, looking over the huge pool and the inky blue water. Can't wait to return and share it with my family. Thank you so much, from an Aussie Down Under.

Acceptable rooms, not incredibly clean but not too bad either. We received fresh towels every day and our bed sheets and pillows were even completely changed once - too bad they had a wrong timing for that, as we left one day later, but we did appreciate it. Other than that, minor details such as the door not closing well - it had a significant gap where the wind forced itself in, making a lot of noise (our room was facing the street and it was very windy outside, especially in the evening/night). On the other side of the room there are large window doors that go into the small terrace, and it has a sturdy insects net so you can sleep with the doors open (in September nights were still very warm so we couldn't close the doors to the terrace without turning on the AC, which we are not big fans of). If you sleep with the doors open, expect a good night sleep, and a very early natural alarm: roosters. Around 4am the rooster's concert starts and it's crazy how much noise they can make :) that's when I usually got up to close the window. One great plus were the window blinds, professionally made that covered the whole terrace door, so after being shut you have complete darkness in the room and you can sleep in as much as you like without being awaken by sunlight. Speaking of that, from our room 213 we had an amazing view to the sea, both at sunrise and sunset. The staff is very, very friendly and helpful, very good English speakers and very positive. Overall it was a nice stay, and although we had some minor details we didn't like, as much as I looked around for nicer hotels, I figured that Sunrise Hotel was actually much better than many of the hotels seen on the island, which many looked like almost abandoned huts. It was a nice stay!

Amazing view, nice hotel, nice people. Still the hotel has few problems, the biggest is the breakfast. We received every morning for 6 days one boild egg with different typs of bread, no cheese, no ham, no vegetables at all, no milk. We do not regret the vacantion, is a very nice hotel but is not the one where we will come again.

Great hotel in an excellent location with amazing view. No wonder why is called like that! Rated with 4 stars because of the poor breakfast served in bags (probably due to Covid-19). Otherwise highly recimmended when visiting Lefkada.

This hotel was our savior! It was our first time in Lefkada and we had booked a room on Booking.com, which was cancelled as soon as we arrived on the island. We were panicking and didn't know whether we should stay or take the next bus back home. All online agencies didn't have any rooms available for the dates we wanted to stay, and if they did, they were very overpriced and not inside out budget. At some point I shortened our stay by one day while searching and that's when Sunrise Hotel appeared in the search results. We decided not to book on Booking.com right away but first call the hotel to ask about availability. To our surprise, not only did they have available rooms, but we could also stay 5 nights as initially planned! Now to the hotel itself: Every single human being working there is a star! We couldn't believe how super friendly and super helpful they all were — if this wasn't during the pandemic, I would've asked to hug them all! They were greeting us when we were leaving in the morning, and welcoming us back every evening, asking if we had fun in our activities, always with a smile on their faces! The hotel is in a very nice location 4-5 min drive from Nikiana), there's a tavern and a small bar/café nearby (both 5-7 mins on foot), and if you need a KTEL bus to go to Nydri or Lefkada town, it stops right in front of the hotel. The rooms were very clean when we arrived (and they were cleaned every morning), and have an amazing sea view. The bathrooms must have been renovated lately, because they looked brand new (which is always nice to see). Outside there's a terrace with a lovely pool a bit further down, which is perfect to chill and relax in the evening. It seems the owners take very good care of the property as a whole. There's nothing broken, no paint coming off the walls or anything, and the whole place was tidy and clean at all times (the pool also). We were both really touched by the hospitality of these people, and if we ever come back to Lefkada, we'll definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you for everything!
