β β β β β Trying to be an expensive hotel with amateur and rude management. The hotel did not have hot water and the excuse was that they ran out of petrol. Breakfast was absolutely unacceptable, felt like I was eating leftovers.

β β β β β Coming from Dubai for a week.
usually we pay triple the money in Mykonos for a simple room.
A family hotel with friendly staff and a beach that is closer than you think.

β β β β β Great place and good services for a fair price, out of the crowded and noisy beaches. Tasty local food and nice personel. The hotel shuttle bus brings the guests to the port everyday

β β β β β The bedrooms are nice and great access to the sea/beach/pool.
However:
1- The breakfast was really disappointing, a couple of things randomly displayed on a few tables in the dinning area, very dark, few options, average quality.
2- Above all, the big issue with this hotel is the management, I understand that this is a family run hotel and I understand that they are not up to the industry standards, but we had an issue as the hotel ran out of petrol during our stay, and as such there was no hot water in the hotel during one of the days.
Turns out it happened right when we needed to get ready for an important dinner and it was just making the whole showering / getting ready process more complicated.
(Just to clarify, we had pay over β¬500 for two nights, so this is not a small B&B where you can understand that water issues happen and not except any kind of compensation, we paid a significant amount of money for a comfortable stay and didn't really have that)
This by itself would have still been OK if the hotel's staff had had an appropriate management of the situation, or maybe offered to compensate us for a small part of that day's night rate.
Instead, when we asked if they could offer some form of compensation for that inconvenience, they started insulting us, saying that we were asking for this because we were probably just trying to travel for free wherever we go at the expense of the local families, and probably doing this all the time, and that it was because we were Greek (I am, my partner is French) and dishonest.
It ended up by having the manager insulting us at the reception desk, and we were very shocked by this very poor client experience management and aggressive behaviour.
Overall, the location and hotel itself is nice, but it is very very poorly managed. β¬500 for two nights is a lot of money, for which we were expecting a seamless experience, and ended up taking cold showers and getting insulted by an angry manager.
No need to say that we left very unhappy and frustrated- whereas all they could have done (like any decent hotel manager would have) would be to suggest a small discount for the no-water day's rate, or even to leave a small note with a little something (chocolate, wine, whatever) on our bed that day to address the issue directly, rather than waiting for us to raise it.
It was my first time in Mykonos, the most expensive hotel we paid over a 2 weeks island trip in Greece, and the most frustrating and disappointing experience (more because of the staff's reaction than because of the water problem).

β β β β β Newly renovated clean rooms and amazing hotel staff! As a family of 4 they made our stay very enjoyable and very friendly, they would have conversations and are very polite in helping you. The food tastes amazing and is fresh and homemade with hand picked fruits and veg from there own farm it gives you a typical taste of Mykonos, a bus that you can get from the hotel to the famous town is cheap and enjoyable, if you want to explore the island more the wonderful hotel staff kindly recommended places that they think we would love to go to which we did, we hired a car which they book for us and we highly recommend the roads are easy to drive and you can explore the island yourself. We couldn't of enjoyed our stay more and it made it that extra more homely due to the family who run the hotel, highly recommend this hotel with many things to do....

β β β β β I had a wonderful 4 days at Sunrise. My first impression was of a small very picturesque hotel with extremely well kept gardens and a pleasant atmosphere. The rooms were fine. The breakfast was very good and the coffee excellent. The people working there were so nice and friendly. I don't usually go back to places I visited but I am making an exception and will return in 2022 hopefully.
