SV Acropolis Residence - Wemster 5A

Where to start with this review! I have been dreaming of a trip to Athens for 12 years and thanks to Andreas and his beautiful apartment it was better than I imagined. I'm not exaggerating when I say Andreas thinks of everything. From a ride to and from the airport (with a truly excellent driver, thanks again Consta!) to the best places to eat, shop and maps to find them sent straight to your phone! And the location is unbeatable, you couldn't get closer to the action unless you were sleeping in the Pathernon (and while that would be awesome, Andreas's flat is WAY more equipped, comfortable and has a roof AND a hot-tub). Andreas also had the fridge stocked with essentials (including beer and wine which after the flight was definitely an essential) and made us feel completely looked after in an amazingly unobtrusive manner. He also called and booked us in at a fantastic restaurant with a stunning view of the Acropolis for our first night and, as awkward English people who hate the phone but also hate missing meals, this was a wonderful way to welcome us to the city. He even sent us a breakdown of how to say basic words after I messaged him at an ungodly hour in a panic because I didn't know how to say thank you in Greek! All in all, I was dreaming of coming to Athens, and now I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. This was maybe the best stay we as a family (2 adults 2 kids) had so far. We had to postpone because of Covid 3 times - finally it worked out great. Andreas is such a nice and interesting host. The location is for sure the best you can find in Athens - you will never need a car nor any other transport except you choose to go outside Athens. The appartment is just beautiful and very, very spacious and includes a nice hot tub, after walking the streets of Athens - just a very nice relaxation. The furniture is very tasteful as the whole interiors. We stayed mostly with the recommendations of Andreas (food, museums, pickup) and this was really, really great advice. If you can book - go for it, you will surely not regret.

The SV Acropolis Residence is an impeccable, beautiful oasis in a central location in Athens. Within walking distance you'll find a museum, the acropolis, a beautiful park, the Plaka and tons of shopping and dining. The apartment is beautifully furnished and modern and has everything you need and more including a hot tub and gorgeous patio/garden to relax and enjoy. Andreas is an incredible host and took care of everything for us down to internal transportation, and clear guidance regarding neighboring grocery stores, and landmarks. He stayed in touch with us throughout to ensure that every need was met and that we were enjoying our time in beautiful Athens. I could not have hoped for a better apartment, location,, host and experience. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.

We loved verything! The most accurate, careful, polite, friendly, helpful, kind host ever! Andreas was very helpful even prior to our arrival with tips about the most specific needs and requests we had, and we had a lot of them. He did a thorough research and spent time to answer all the questions and find out what, when and where to be/do/see, following all the COVID regulations. He scheduled time to call with us on several occasions. We had the smoothest pick up at the airport and welcome at the residence. We were given a customised map with the most interesting and needed places, in addition to welcoming refreshments, and toiletries. Andreas who is very attentive, gave our daughter a cute and thoughtful gift which she loved very much. He made sure to check with us if we needed something but also gave us enough privacy. The residence itself is amazing, great location, just a short walk away from the Acropolis museum, looking at the acropolis, used to be owned by a famous Greek painter, new, modern, spacious, with a hot tub which we enjoyed a lot. We were tempted to stay in due to all the luxury and facilities but had to do the touristy things which we also loved. The rooms, beds and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. There is Netflix but who needs it when there is so much more to enjoy?! Our host Andreas who is very careful and attentive, understood us, and that is why his tips for restaurants and things to do, did not disappoint, on the contrary. We cannot recommend enough this amazing place and needles to say that if we go back to Athens, which we hope, we know where we will stay. Thank you Andreas and family!

Would have given another star if possible! Me and my friends have stayed in numerous residences around the globe over the last 10 years, but this one was - BY FAR - the best experience we've ever had. Overal cleanliness was absolutely fantastic. Not a bit of dust to find inside or even in the garden. Even all remote controls, keys and other appliances were sanitized and sealed. Coffee cups, ground coffee, tea, spices, wine, bread, toppings and even beers were ready for us in the kitchen cabinets and fridge upon our arrival. But it wasn't just food and drinks... soap and shampoo, more than enough towels, great mattresses and pillows, bathrobes, everything you need is there! Having your private jacuzzi is awesome, it's more than spacious enough for four people and is cleaned on a daily base. Andreas, the host is super friendly and super helpful! He has gathered all useful information about what to do while in Athens - basically a private concierge desk :) Would highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Athens!

Α truly unique experience. A piece of heaven in the heart of Athens. Extra clean, exquisite location, with the most discreet and helpful host. The backyard hot tub is beyond expectations. Amazing kitchen fully equipped. Would definitely recommend it for a short or long stay. It has everything!

We loved staying there so much we stayed there twice! Once at the beginning and then again at the end of our trip to Greece. So close to the Acropolis but quiet and peaceful in the middle of a bustling city. The hot tub was so easy to use and much needed after a day of walking around the Placa and acropolis. And the apartment was just perfect. Andreas and his wife are so very helpful. I had requested wine and cream and milk for coffee and they had it there when we arrived. I couldn’t of hoped for a better place to stay while in Athens. And they even arranged our ride to and from the airport with the nicest driver ever!

This accommodation really deserves a 7 out of 5 rating. It is beyond perfect. Large comfortable, private 2 bedroom apartment was supplied with everything you might need. The hosts were so welcoming and informative. They maintained great communication before and during the stay. Its location is perfect, steps away from the acropolis and several great restaurants. If I'm ever back in Athens I would stay there again, without a doubt. I can't recommend highly enough
