★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was clean Monday in Greece and I decided with my friends to visit this place. The very first impression after I entered the place was a dark area. When we sat on the table we waited 15 min for the menus and 20 min more for the main dishes to come. Let's get the point and to the reason of my one star review. While we were eating the salad my friend Makis said.. oopa! And he points me a spider inside the salad. After a while we decided to tell the waitress about the incident and 2 min after I noticed that the spider was trying to get out of the plate! The waitress apologised and changed salad. In the end, the clean Monday turned to be a dirty Monday thanks to this living spider inside our lettuce salad!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Atmosphere is nice but the food is disgusting. This is not even at a level of a bad tourist restaurant, the level is very very low. Everything feel like frozen food just warmed up. Place really need to work on making better food, compare to any other taverna in Thessaloniki this is by far the worst I have been. A shame because the music was nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a nice Greek and some international food restaurant. The pasta plates are good and big, two people can share one if not too hungry. It has a very good location and it was pretty empty. The service it is OK, with nice cold beer. Not very cheap though, but on the average price of Thessaloniki.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good tavern with traditional food and meze. The atmosphere is for all ages of people and the staff there are very welcome. Ask for Giannis, he is the host of the tavern 'Ta Kastra' he will welcome you like you are his best friend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I entered here when visiting the city walls during a sudden and very heavy rain storm. I decided to eat and was very happy I did!
Food was absolutely perfect, the wine was good, prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly - a great experience - I left smiling.
A great traditional Greek taverna - it's worth the climb up here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the afternoon the waitress stopped what she was doing to help me find my way to where Iwas staying, so that evening I walked back there for dinner. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. The food was exactly the Greek dinner I was looking for and the waitress is one of the cooks! The location is behind the Trigonion Tower in Ana Poli, in a beautiful setting. Walk a few steps and you have fabulous views and quaint shopping. It was a wonderful experience with great food.
