I mean , the environment there is amazing but i don't think that that building is like extraordinary to see. ................................................................................................................................................. ....................................................................... ...................................................................... ..................................................................... .................................................................... ................................................................... .................................................................. ................................................................. ................................................................ ............................................................... .............................................................. ............................................................. ............................................................ ........................................................... .......................................................... ......................................................... ........................................................ ....................................................... ...................................................... ..................................................... .................................................... ................................................... .................................................. ................................................. ................................................ ............................................... .............................................. ............................................. ............................................ ........................................... .......................................... ......................................... ........................................ ....................................... ...................................... ..................................... .................................... ................................... .................................. ................................. ................................ ............................... .............................. ............................. ............................ ........................... .......................... ......................... ........................ ....................... ...................... ..................... .................... ................... .................. ................. ................ ............... .............. ............. ............ ........... .......... ......... ........ ....... ...... ..... .... ... .. .

An amazing place....The untold history of a very important part of Hellenic Civilization. But history cannot be erased!!!

An eerie place with a unique atmosphere. A royal cemetery in the middle of a forest. Especially impressive if one considers that half of the people buried there have streets named after the. Gave me a chance to think how similar so fates are...

A beautiful place, you can have perfect picnics there. You must take water with you because there is none and food if you like. Ideal for everyone. You can take your bike there and have fun and also have great walks through the paths there. Children also can play safely. A must go place very close to the center of Athens.

it's an abandoned mausoleum in the "necropolis" of Royal Family of Greece. There is lack of signs so if you want to go there, you must have a map in your phone. Its walls are plain cement and despite the fact that they planned to add mosaic, History surpassed Royal Family.

I don't think it's possible to get here if you don't have your own mode of transportation. It's not a straight forward drive, or lots of traffic going here so even hitchhiking isn't really an option. Still if you have access to transportation then this place can provide a nice get out of the city destination. The grounds truly are falling apart and are overgrown with vegetation. There has been some effort to do upkeep, but with a government really not interested in keeping this part of Greek history alive (imported royalty from other lands) when there is are so many other Greek historical sights in need of money and attention who can blame them. So upkeep is left to a small band of dedicated royalists who do what they can with what they've got. It is really quite peaceful here and makes for a nice walk in the woods (with no vehicle traffic the old roads on the grounds are great for walking on). There's the occasional sign pointing out which old building was for what purpose, what certain plants and trees are (all written in Greek) and plenty of benches to park yourself on and soak up the nature. Just a nice respite from the city to recharge your batteries.
