★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing experience at Taverna Rizina, we were quite hungry after a long day and ordered quite a bit. Everything on the menu was fantastic, falling off the bone meat that was tender, juicy and oh so flavourful. Best of all, the hospitality and kindness of Michail who - after asking for the bill because of the wind - brought a jacket out for my wife and the great conversation and explanation of how the traditional dishes were made. The homemade desert, ice cream and Raki in the end were great.
Amazing people, fantastic food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a wonderful visit. The place is surrounded by mountains and you can really feel calm here. I have eaten there the best meat dish on Crete! (Rizina Special). The pork was so tender and delicious. Dakos salad was also very tasty. The waiter make us felt welcomed and was really kind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had my best lamb stew ever at this place. The grandmother still cooks in the kitchen and does so wonderfully! Very much recommended if you're in for traditional cuisine apart from the general tourist food. Also features great views over the mountain slopes and nearby villages.
