Previous times we visited it was very pleasant. Taverna is beautifully decorated, tranquil so ideal to enjoy a meal or simply a cappuccino. While I understand everyone has a bad day, this time around staff were extremely rude. Needless to say it was somewhat embarrassing considering we had guests and awkward as order was already placed.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. I am certain the positive reviews are mistaking this place for the lovely Minas Restaurant next door. Do not confuse the two. This one is simply awful. We were treated incredibly rudely by the male owner with absolutely no provocation whatsoever. The hospitality was the worst I have ever experienced. We had my 75 year old parents with us and my own kids and I was mortified by the way we were spoken to. If we hadn’t been so hungry we would have walked out in disgust, which, ironically, is what we did after eating the food. The food was clearly bought from a budget supermarket, smothered in oregano and passed off as home made. It was just nasty. Like the owner. The place is empty for a reason. I feel guilty writing such a bad review, especially given I work in the hospitality industry myself, but this guy should not be running a hospitality business and doesn’t deserve to have customers. The woman working there was clearly embarrassed by his behaviour, I felt rather sorry for her, I ended up handing her some money personally on the hope that she has a running away fund tucked under a floorboard. Do yourself a favour and book a table next door where they are polite and courteous and the food is great.

We went for a meal at lunchtime as boat was anchored and wind was picking up in the evening. We came to this beautifully decorated garden restaurant last year and vowed to come again. The lady serving us suggested the freshly made moussaka and it was the best we've ever had! Lovely rich sauce. We stayed ages as it was so relaxing. Look out for the painted recycled washing machine drums used as lampshades, very pretty.
