We ate well (dinner), and the staff was very kind and welcoming. Disregard negative reviews, they are at least 12 months old. Prices are convenient. They also offered us a glass of ouzo at the end of the meal.

The rating of this place is not accurate, as it is based not on reviewing the food, sunbeds or service but rather on complaints about owners behaviour regarding the rules of the house - which, in my opinion, ar not negociable. This tavern is on the beach, they also have trees to keep you in the shadow besides umbrellas. It is clean and quiet. There also is a free parking if you stay on that beach. NOBODY FORCES YOU TO STAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO. The staff is extremely polite in explaining the rules: you pay 5 euro/day/2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella, which covers the tax they have to pay and the person in charge with cleaning and organising the beach and also waiting on the beach guests. It seems a fair price to me, because the beach there is awesome, perfect for snorkeling and there were also tutles coming at sunset. Regarding the food and service there is no complaint: it is very good, homemade, tasty and clean. Some days there are dishes missing, but, as we came back 4 days to this beach, they tried to prepare what we asked for, so we don't feel frustrated. It is however a wild area, with a narrow difficult access road so I think the efforts they make to satisfy every request is highly appreciable. This spot is one of the main reasons we seriously consider returning to Zakynthos next year

If you are looking for a charming, authentic, relaxing and unique location for a great meal, amazing atmosphere and friendly service and hospitable owners with a gorgeous beachfront view within steps to the beach...this is THE place! The owner Bobby took care of us like family! So happy to have taken the right turn to Taverna Dafni and look forward to coming back again soon!

Luckily we did not have the bad experience that so many people had. Yes, we were told the parking lot belonged to the restaurant, but we were fine with using the (free) sunbeds of the restaurant. We only ordered some fruit and enjoyed the great underwater world of Dafni Beach.

Strategically located at the nice end of the beach if you spend some money here you'll get a prime position on the sun loungers and free parking - it's clear that it's strictly controlled and innocent visitors expecting to drop by this part of the beach without spending at the taverna are routinely challenged.

Turistic food, low quality. It’s a pity because the restaurant is nice and also the view. The glass of wine got me a strong stomachache !!

Absolutely brilliant!!! Food and service impeccable!!! A lovely family run this taverna.The ambience is warm and relaxing ? I would settle for the day on their sun beds sipping either frappe or Greek beer and to have a break from lounging in the sunshine I would eat lunch with my family. The food is homemade traditional cuisine and it’s delicious, just what makes a perfect day even better. Love everyone there! Also so much care and attention to the surroundings. And not to mention the cats we grew so fond of during our visits. Thank you to Andri and Babis for making our visits memorable.
