★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best tavern in the area according to our hosts in Kerkini - and we agree. A rare chance to sample buffalo products, we tried the steak and a couple of types of sausage - all delicious. A few word about the steak - it's a cut very typical for Greece, bone-in, without too much trimming. I love it this way, although some people would say it leaves in a few chewy bits. I don't care and I think it's more flavourful. I expected the buffalo steak to be leaner, but it was rather juicy and tender, cooked evenly to just about a touch beyond rare - on a charcoal grill of course. It tastes like a good beef steak, only sweeter and definitely not so heavy on the "beafiness", if you know what I mean. All in all - do not miss this restaurant while in the Kerkini lake area!
