β β β β β Absolutely brilliant place! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing. It is outside of the main town but only by a ten minute walk from the crossroads with mcdonalds so not massively out of the way and definitely worth it. House wine is delicous and the three different meals we had were simply brilliant. Lovely traditional decor and you really felt in the heart of greece. Make the ten minute walk and you will not be disappointed.

β β β β β When we go on holiday, we like to eat traditional food. We saw online that Taverna Eva was the best traditional restaurant of Malia, and we agree! We walked a long way to get there just before closing time, but we still got the best service! The owner stayed open for us and made us a delicious moussaka.
Very nice place, friendly host and a great experience!

β β β β β Really enjoyed our meal. We received amazing service, the workers are lovely and happy, always servicing with a smile. They treated us as friends rather than customers.
When our food came out, it was presented amazingly, couldn't fault it at all. Tasted on point, the flavors on the dishes were 10/10.
Would definitely fly back to Malia to eat here again. Pricing was affordable and we would happily pay more for the meals.

β β β β β Taverna Eva is the best Taverna I have been to in Crete. Amazing authentic Greek food served with a smile and made with love. All the ingredients tasted delicious and were freshly caught/picked. Hands down the best mussels dish I have ever eaten. The restaurant sits in a gorgeous setting in a quiet street overlooking the mountains and is the perfect place for a romantic meal, beautifully designed to create the perfect atmosphere, will definitely be back! The character of the owners comes through in all the thought and knowledge taken to curate the menu, and I loved the 10 facts about wine on the wine list!
