★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we visited Taverna Poseidon, we only wanted to eat something in the neighbourhood of the place where we stayed during our holiday in Crete. But we were pleasantly surprised. The host Giwrgos is a very talkative and nice guy who makes you feel at home. The food also is very good and fresh. Surely very worthwile to visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seeing a lot of positive opinions we decided to visit the Poseidon Taverna. First impression (look, location) was really nice. Unfortunately good aspects end here. When we started to order it appeared that 1/4 of our choices was already sold (we were ther at 7 pm). When we finaly managed to pick up something what was available we was waiting more than 40 minutes. When it comes to the food the taste (calamaries and octopus) was very average. French fries were terible. And at the end it appeared that the waiter took a wrong note of the order and counted it (the octopus) as the main course instead of the starter. Finaly we ended up very dissapointed, waiting a long time to eat something that was very average and paying unreasonably high.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had fried fish and potatoes, Greek salad and okra in tomato sauce. Everything was delicious.
Edit: We visited again one year later and I can confirm it is a good restaurant. We had stuffed zucchini flowers, fried sardines and so. What a tasty meal that was!
