★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thalassa Garden is simply a magical place. It is on the water, is so peaceful and beautiful, and is hosted by a delightful Greek family, who will point out local secrets for you to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We went as a group of 6 and had more or less the whole area to ourselves. Beautiful gardens and views over to Messonghi and Greek mainland. Everything we needed only a 10 minute walk away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is difficult to find a peaceful spot in Corfu away from the teaming hotspots where throbbing music usually wrecks the calm balmy evening, but this little gem of a garden retreat is such a spot. Simple lovely rooms straight onto a lapping sea with a hammock provided. A total joy to be there. Great plzce for family with young kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very peaceful - lovely simple rooms with plenty of friendly cats who live in/pass through the gardens. Near enough to the town and so many beautiful places to walk to nearby. Thank you for having us!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the worst hosting experience ever! We were asked by the host to leave the place in the middle of our planned stay. The alleged reason was we behaved against the house rules by borrowing sunbed pillows from the garden, which were reserved for other guests. But the truth is we got one of the pillows after the other guests' check out, because we were not provided any and my husband needed it to soften the bed (that was indeed very hard) due to his back problem. The host entered our room when we were outside and got back the pillow without asking us. When we asked him about the pillow and requested not to enter the room when we were not there, he behaved extremely rude and raised his voice. He was accusing us for violating the Covid rules because we took the sunbed pillow, but in our later stay in the Island we learnt from other hosts that what he did was completely inappropriate and against the Covid Protocol. First protocol rule: hosts are not allowed to enter the guest room! Moreover, he was neither wearing gloves nor face masks and they were not using steaming while cleaning the rooms, which are other parts of the Protocol he is violating. Although I insistently told the host we could find a solution, to his view the only solution would be to leave the place. It was very awkward, he might have kindly reminded us the house rules. But then the real reason came out which helped us to interpete his extremely aggressive behaviour since the beginning of the converstation. Because my husband (unintentionally) rated Thalassa Garden 4-star (out of 5) in Google review, the host said he felt under attack when he saw the google reviews. How professional he is(!) The host indeed deserves an absolute zero star. I would definitely NOT recommend anybody to stay there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is amazing but I have a great reason to give 1 star and advice other people NOT TO GO THERE. At the beginning the only problem for me was the uncomfortable mattress for a person who has a back problem like me. But it wasn't a big problem because I got one of the mattresses from one of the sunbeds in the garden which belong to the empty room next to us (our sunbeds didn't have mattresses).
There are three hosts, two old parents and their middle-aged laptop carrying son. The parents, who do the cleaning and gardening are quite nice and reasonable but their son (who is a grown up) is quite the opposite. He even got into a big quarrel with a guest of neighboring b&b place's guest over their french bulldog. He didn't hesitate to wake us from our nap and even worse, he didn't hesitate to shout at the guests of the his fellow neighboring place.
Here comes our story.
We were supposed to stay in here for a week. At the third or fourth day of our stay, I used Google maps and got the directions from there to somewhere around. Then unfortunately, after I used the phone, my pocket graded this place and gave it 4 stars (that was initially this review, but now I revise it, this time intentionally.)
After I got to the place, we realized that he entered our room to get the sunbed mattress when we were not there. We wanted to talk to him and tell him that I needed the mattress and asked him not to enter our room to take something, even if it is something that we shouldn't take at the first hand. But this turned him crazy, he started to raise his voice, after telling him that he shouldn't shout out, he replied that it is the way he talks. He then said that he felt he was under attack and said that we even rated his place 4 star in Google reviews. So we learned our sin, the pocket grading. He said us that we should leave.
My wife said that we could find a solution, but he resisted. It then turned into a two sided quarrel, and we were forced to leave the place at 5pm and started to look for a place to stay.
Anyways, if you want to stay at nice place you can go this place but you should be careful. You never know if the trouble is around.
Charles Bukowski explains the problem of this place perfectly in one of his poems. I quote:
"I was a bum in San Francisco but once managed
to go to a symphony concert along with the well-dressed people
and the music was good but something about the
audience was not
and something about the orchestra
and the conductor was
not,
although the building was fine and the
acoustics perfect
I preferred to listen to the music alone
on my radio
..."
In this case, the problem is the person who can have a problem with a peaceful french bulldog.
