★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious traditional greek food, most diners are locals. We had an amazing meal and for such a low price! Also great service, although it would be better if the dishes came together.
The pork souvlaki is highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing! Not only are the prices at this restaurant are less than half of any other restaurant in town, but the portions are at least twice as generous! The quality of the food is excellent and the service is lightning fast. This establishment is heavy on meat, but they also feature a few fish items that are well prepared. Even vegetarians can find something to satisfy them. Their Greek oven potatoes (a generous serving for 2.50€) are some of the best we’ve had in Crete. Tzambas is frequented mainly by locals - the location is off the beaten tourist track. But I cannot see how a place like this can remain a secret for long. My wife and I recently dined there with two friends. We ate until we couldn’t eat anymore (we had to take leftovers home). Plus we had a liter of wine. The check came to 20.90€! Today my wife and I at there alone an paid 16.20€ - and took home containers of food and shared a half liter of wine! The wine was 2€! A bit of trivia: the word “tzamba” means “nothing” or “free” in Greek. This is about as close to free as you will ever find in a restaurant - a restaurant that doesn’t compromise on quality and quantity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious chicken kontosouvli on the grill at a rediculus low price. Only 4€ for a portion and 12€ per kilo. Soft drinks are only 1€. The atmosphere is nice. Really enjoyed our time there, I would recommend it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you see prices you can think it can’t be true. But not only the prices are correct, also food is great and quite big portion! And it really feels as you are eating in proper local diner! If you are in Chania you should try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn't like the loud greek pop music. Maybe they play it that you leave as soon as possible to have a table free. Eating should never be accompanied with rock or pop music in our opinion.
Nice place if you are on a budget.
