★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food- Greek traditional with a tiny twist - we never had better seafood: shrimp in tomato sauce with feta and spicy octopus. Even the classic horiatiki salata is fantastic. Congratulations to the chef! Amazing set up, view and service

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a special place to go and have a great meal with a beautiful view of the sea at sunset.
The food is fresh, full of flavour, the menu has a bit of variability over the course of the week. The staff is impecable, friendly and careful about their clients. Whenever I will come again to Zakynthos I will revisit The Old Windmill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Old Windmill has a million-dollar view but we must have been super unlucky to be met with not so good food. I liked their Greek salad a lot. I can’t exactly pinpoint what made it so special, could be their choice of olives(which lent a super smooth flavor) or some sort of seasoning that were not visible to the eye. You have to try it to see it for yourself. I wish the main dishes were as great though. The (local) chicken was obviously overcooked so the meat was completely dry and chewy. The beef was tender but also a couple minutes away from getting dried out. I decided to let the staff know about the chicken and was told that this was chicken from his own farm and they are different from store bought ones. They usually tend to be leaner. And I know precisely what he meant because my gram and pop also had livestocks when I was little. All the meat and produces I ate growing up was 100% homegrown. So, I was sure that it was the cooking the kind of took the juice off the meat and not the nature of the meat itself. My partner, who is a true chicken lover, even said it’s likely that it was cooked, reheated and ended up leathery. But like I said, it might just be our luck. Maybe you’ll do better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best restaurant we encountered on the island! Every bite is a little party of flavors. Great atmosphere with a great view. Staff is incredibly kind and warm. There homemade wine is amazing. We've been here twice, because it was so good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place with an amazing view that I would recommend everyone. The staff is professional and friendly. Tzatziki with pita bread and feta cheese pastry is great. Greek coffee tastes like pure happiness. This is a place you should definitely visit when you're on Zakynthos.
