This is the new hype place to go! The manager Nick took care of us in such an amazing way but all the staff contributed for our wonderful experience! Sylvia was fantastic taking care of everything we needed, Timothy in the restaurant took care of us and gave us amazing recommendations! But, where to start, when everything was spotless! The hotel is super modern with Italian marble and contemporary feel in a relaxed and private location but still close to the old town. The rooms have an open plan display and overlooking the sea, waking up in a huge and comfortable bed and having the sea view as your first sight of the morning. The shower also has a steam room making the experience very relaxing. Room service? Quick and perfect and always ready for our many demands. We tried the gym which is small but has everything you need for a great morning workout. The spa.. Wow wow! Overlooking the sea with an aesthetic look, the pool has jets and there is also an hamman /steam room perfect to detox your body. I went with my fiancé and we did a couple massage and so worth it, the therapists did a great job and released all the tension of our bodies. Finally the restaurant, just exquisite! The quality of the food in our amazing breakfast in bed to the romantic dinner overlooking the sea with good Greek whine. This restaurant that belongs to the hotel uses a lot of local products and the restaurant cooks erythromycin from scratch, fresh and organic like we love. It was an amazing experience, definitely recommend, and we are already coming back in September. So worth it! Thank you Tanneries.

When you visit a seaside hotel, you sertenly expect a sea view from your window. The Tanneries provide lotts more... The ingenious architecture does not provide only spaciousness and functionality but manages to bring the outside in.Floor to ceiling windows and doors bring in the light which reflects off the marble surfaces all over the suite and opens up the view to Cretan pelagos. For a visitor like me, after the ambient living space it is very important to be able to rest. The bed and coverings are like a cloud.The steem room and the jacuzzi lifts years off you back. I spend a Christmas eve at the Tanneries with my wife and we did enjoyed every bit of it. I do recommend it because it worth every single star of its rating.!!!

We just spent a couple of nights at this hotel. The best Christmas gift to my self in years! The well thought-out design, the luxurious surroundings like the beautiful marble which is everywhere, the plush & very comfortable beds, the uninterrupted views to the sea which was just below our glass balcony and the quietness of the location rejuvenates your soul! Our suite had a fireplace between two floor-to-ceiling windows which made our Christmas Eve very cozy. Friendly staff that seemed to appear only when you need them and the great restaurant on site made us feel like we never wanted to leave. We can’t wait for another opportunity to stay at this hotel again…maybe the next time will be in summer ?

This hotel is an architectural Gem. Very chic. The windows on the open sea in the rooms are fantastic. I felt deeply relaxed there. The staff is very nice. The pool area is great as well. Would love to come back and will for sure recommend it to my friends. There is one minor fault to note : the thermal insulation of the windows both in the rooms and in the spa has not been well done.

I spent 3 nights with my girlfriend celebrating our anniversary in the tanneries. The warm welcome coming in the spacious rooms that has everything you need. The whole hotel and the marbles all around made our visit very special. Nick the general manager was super helpful taking care of us from the moment we came and always offered a lot of suggestions and recommended places to visit in Chania with great restaurant list recommended. Szylvia was such a star she always welcomed us with perfect smile on her face made sure we enjoy our time in the spa and taking care of us from how we can get to hotel from airport by providing a car for us. I honestly been to so many hotels but this definitely a 5 star in everything they do, the view the food , rooms and the perfect architecture building of the tanneries was such a beautiful stay. Recommend going there for a great time.
