★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing gourmet dining. Not cheap but totally worth it. If you can, drive to Cassiopi in the morning, rent a small boat (no license needed), drive along the shore southward, find a secluded beach and enjoy, then continue south to Kalami and arrive at the White House by boat. Live like a prince :) Just make sure to return before 16:00, sea gets a bit choppy after that and may scare novices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called one day in advance, got the prices all fairs for fuel, all transparent. Very happy with the service, definitly recommend!
There are a few bays around to go in and have a good snorkeling or swim.

On other hand we didn’t have good experience with food as i ordered stake which was really like a chummy and risotto which was undone.

This is the place where your thickness of the pocket matters.. if a big yacht is in all staff running around like crazy leaving Mr & Mrs Average unattended our bill was heavily pregnant for what we had.. Our service was disappointing and likewise the meals..you can get a better for your money... Exploiting the history of the building...

She loomed over us to order exactly by 12.00pm meaning that I had to go and get my husband out of the bathroom where he was helping our young twins. We ordered scrambled eggs and omelet, and it arrived 40 minutes later and was comprehensively cold despite us being the only people there. And it was expensive. Wish I hadn’t gone - ruined my fond memories of the Durrells.

But: If you are not coming from one of the big yachts, it will probably happen, that your reservation is missed, and the service ignores you... even if your bill for 2 persons is still 3 digits..
well. even of the location and the food is great.. we won't ever come back to this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very easy boat hire company. They take 15 mins to do the paperwork in the office by the road (bring your passport and credit card) and as long as the weather is pleasant, you're free to go and grab your boat from the jetty. If you've never rented a motor boat before they will give you a quick tutorial on piloting the boat and then you can head off from Kalami either up or down the coast, within reasonable limits. plenty of nice quiet and pretty areas to stop and have a good swim from the boat and you can even moor up and grab some freshly cooked seafood if you're feeling adventurous. Highly recommended if you're staying in Kalami and want to do something fun and leisurely at your own pace, just be sure to check the forecast for wind and be respectful of other water craft.
