★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very well known theatre venue located at the centre of the city. The plays are in most cases good productions with well known actors. The seats are a little bit uncomfortable but this would not keep us from revisiting. They need to modernize the reservation system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most of the productions of this theater are very well put together, the plays selected very interesting and the actors most of the times are very very good.
On the other hand, the sitting arrangements are a bit uncomfortable (which might be important when one wants to watch a long play) and it can get a bit too hot. Be sure to have water with you and layer your clothing so you can remove something if it starts to feels uncomfortable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good old and classic theatre in the heart of Athens. We went to watch the Terror play, a modern tale from a german solicitor-writer. When the act ended, a thoughtful discussion about morality and law was ignited with the participation of the audience. All in all great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was cash only at the entrance for the tickets and they wouldn’t accept card payment. We had to rush to the bank to withdraw cash. We never got a receipt. This is not acceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not commending the play, just the theatre; I do not understand why the price of 20 euros, plus a fee of 1 euro, if you book the places via internet. It is like "we pay a high rent, so, you have to pay it for us". The price has been the same since forever, no matter what the play is. The seats are old and not comfortable at all, if you are tall, good luck with your legs etc. The view is not the same from every seat, however the price is the same, which is totally irrational. Also, there was a delay with the cheking of tickets and vaccination certificates. Last but not least; The ushers asked us (!) if we want to give them a tip! This has never happened to me before, I mean it was like they conjuring up our emotion.. ;-/ One star just for the location, near the suntagma sub station.
