The staff is not helpful, they change train times on the day itself. Also, the help desk told us our train would leave from platform 2. But that wasn’t even correct. Terrible

Pros: close to the sea, large city, nice monuments, cheap products. Cons: looks old, but in a decrepit way, not a historical one.

Not Europe’s most inviting station. Its size reflects either endearing optimism or a past era of greater passenger numbers, the latter denuded today to a trickle. Both building and platforms show little sign of any investment for many years, including since Italy’s FS bought Greece’s bankrupt railways for a song during the economic crisis. There’s some interesting 1960s period detail about and it wouldn’t take much to bring the whole place up to scratch. There’s a pharmacy, convenience store, a few Greek chains and a very cute chapel tucked away. No platform information anywhere, incredibly; just pick a platform at random and your eyes will tell you where your train is (there are that few of them).

Thessaloniki the city that I live. Second largest in population in Greece Thessaloniki is the heart of North Greece and there are many things to do while you visit the city. From the Byzantine age, Thessaloniki was an important city for the Byzantine Empire. Today you can see some Byzantine churches and or the castle Walls in Ano Poli. The food and the pastry in the city is excellent. The White Tower is the badge of the city and you should visit and go to the top to have a view of the city. It has many cafes and restaurants and the historical center is great. While being in the city you should visit the White Tower, Ano Poli, Kamara- Arch of Galerius, Ladadika, Ancient Roman market and Agios Dimitrios Church who is known as the protector of the city.

This place is a portal to the 70s. Everything is dirty and left to rot, there are no screens to inform you, the trains are ALWAYS late and the trips are ALWAYS longer than specified, it's a disgrace really. If you ask me, it must be pound into a parking lot and built from scratch. Greece in all its glory.

By far the worst station I've ever been to. The people at the help desks do al lot of things like being arrogant, unhelpfull and ignorant. Don't go to this station because it won't do your railway experience of greece any good. If I could give them 0 stars I surely wouldve
