★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we come to Kalamata every other summer, we always stop by Thiasos for our lunch after the trip. Food was always pretty good but this year I guess they really decided to up their game. Everything was better, meatballs with tomato sauce and spicy feta cheese were the highlights, simply fantastic. The old, traditional atmosphere is also a big plus, my father claimed it has remained unchanged the last 50 years or so. Probably my favourite greek food tavern in town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely time in here. Food was great, staff was joyful and very helpful with recommending things. There were many vegetarian options. Live music going on left is in awe. Do yourself a favor and look no further.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We come here every year, even if it's out of our way, but they serve something called pork in oven, which is slow roasted over the potatoes that are served with the dish. And it's so incredibly, that we talk about all year and look forward to eating it again and again.
Yesterday we had pork in oven along with a Greek salad and tzatziki, one large beer and a soda, it was around 20€ for two people, what's not to like?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and cozy place in the heart of Kalamata. You might even listen to live rempetiko music. Friendly stuff and tasty food. Definitely try "gourounopoula" which is a roasted pig delicacy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great little find in old Kalamata. Cost me and my wife 23 euros to eat such an amazing meal. The mushrooms and peppers were amazing along with the fish and chicken.
