L	Luigi Baraggia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tra i pochi locali che abbiamo frequentato 2 volte nella breve permanenza di 15 giorni a inizio luglio. Piccola taverna in pieno centro, tradotta anche in inglese "The old call office" su Google maps. Sfugge quasi all'attenzione, pur trovandosi nella via principale della chora, per la sua modesta location che a prima vista pare un bar, con una piccola insegna scritta in greco e menu a parete abbastanza anonimi. Poi scopri che le giovani cameriere, che a pensi siano clienti del locale, con efficiente e rapida cortesia ti servono dei souvlaki e giros strepitosi. Ci sono solo pochi tavolini a lato strada ma in aggiunta dall'altro lato, una terrazza in legno con diversi tavoli. Ci siamo stati la sera del nostro arrivo, verso mezzanotte, convinti di saltare la cena. E per riconoscenza la sera prima della nostra partenza, (unica serata piovosa ma per fortuna avevano dei grandi ombrelloni sul terrazzo). Ma la notizia simpatica è il conto: 21 euro per un abbondante piatto di giros fracito con pita e zucchine fritte, piatto di souvlaki con patatine, 3/4 di vino e acqua (vedi foto). Da provare. Una validissima alternativa al più conosciuto Strofi, solo take away. ?? Among the few places we have visited twice in the short stay of 15 days in early July. Small tavern in the center, also translated into English "The old call office" on Google maps. Almost escapes attention, despite its location in the main street of Chora, for its modest location that at first glance looks like a bar, with a small sign written in greek and quite lame wall menu. Then he finds out that the young waiter, who do you think are the local customers with efficient and rapid courtesy you need souvlaki and gyros point across. There are only a few tables at street side but additionally the other side, a wooden terrace with several tables. We were there the evening of our arrival, around midnight, convinced to skip dinner. And gratitude for the evening before our departure, (one rainy evening, but luckily they had the big umbrellas on the terrace). But the nice news is the bill: 21 euro for a hearty plate of fracito gyros with pita and fried zucchini, souvlaki platter with fries, 3/4 of wine and water (see photo). To try. A very valid alternative to the more known Strofi, only take away. ??

It was okay but we had to queue for 15 minutes. So day 2 we went to Palio telephonia. Same prices, table service, no queues and fast service. We found out it is family run business since 1964. The skepatses was amazing! Give them a try!!
