The best pizza and good price.

Really bizarre, the atmosphere is good, the prices fine, friendly and GREAT reviews. We thought, as we are here for a few months this would be our local taverna. However, we arrived and ordered some wine, other locals arrived got served drinks and by the time they left- we still hadn’t got our wine! We ordered a meze and another British couple who arrived after ordered the same, after another half hour or so during which more locals arrived and were served food and drink in abundance the young boy returned to ask if we had chosen,after reminding him he apologised went away returned and said they were too busy and the grill was full!! We asked for something else but got a blank look, he offered, maybe some cheese!!!! apologised again and offered our wine free, we asked for ANYTHING but nothing came. Finally exasperated after TWO HOURS we left. Now it was “ festival” in the village but the big party had its own food system maybe, he was too tired and young to cope, maybe they don’t like Brits !!! I really don’t know, after 35 years of visiting Greece virtually every year and most areas this was UNIQUE absolutely NO FOOD I do speak some greek so it wasn’t our communication. I wonder if the other couple got anything it was about midnight when we gave up. It wasn’t that busy certainly not full so maybe it’s just for locals Very, very disappointing!

Great location facing the sea. Food great, and reasonable prices. Service can be a bit slow when restaurant is busy

Went for tea last night, 7 of us just a few locals in, sat outside facing over the olive groves to the sea. Usual Greek starters with tasty bread and main courses of lamb, pork, fried cod etc and it was all spot on. The young Greek lad waiting on us was polite and attentive. The price was fantastic we all had a good feed and a few drinks for 101 euros, we will go back next time

Good food, good prices. Typical Taverna. I'm taking a star away because the service is very slow and dishes are often unavailable. The setting is good.

We have been going to this restaurant since they were situated in Riglia. It is more commonly know to the locals as The ANCHOR ⚓ BAR.. as it has an enormous anchor ⚓ in front The food is great, especially the medditerean pizza. Prices are very reasonable Don't go if you are on a timetable as the service can be on the slow side

Best pizza i've had in Messinia. Infact one of the best I've had outside of Italy. I am very pleasantly impressed!
