★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok so, it’s probably not on the “must do” things in Santorini, but I really liked this museum.
It’s in the south of the island, so it takes around 30/40 mins to get there from Fira/Oia.
I strongly suggest you wait for the guided tour to start as otherwise it’s very hard to make sense of the museum. Ticket price is €5. Guided tour is free. Worth seeing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really well done. 10€ per person includes audio tour, tomato paste and jam tasting and sealing your own can. The tour is sweet and well done and their gift shop is delightful. They have some kind of a art collaboration that adds a lovely arty design to the whole endeavor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice museum where it is possible to discover the very recent history of the Santorini Island and the process of the preparation of Tomato Sauce. Audioguides are included in the price. Very nice the possibility to taste at the end of the tour the tomato paste and to dringìk something at the bar. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent little museum in Vlihada, Santorini. Before the tourism was the industry that it's today Santorini had an important industry canning the very special cherry tomatoes produced in the island. D. Nomikos founded a factory for canning tomatoes at the beginning of XX century and today you can see the machinery and the artifacts (most originals) in a very interesting and entertaining guided tour.
The final video with the real testimonies of the old factory workers is a gem!
In the museum you can see some industrial artifacts, all originals from other factories too.
There's a wonderful shop with probably the best New Greek design in the island and a tasteful selection of gourmet treats.
The café is a delightful place with wonderful Bloody Mary and cooking classes and small-batch tomato paste tastings.
Finally, the S. A. F. (Santorini Arts Factory) proyect, a year-round festival hosting fine art events. Theatre, dance, and music productions and exhibitions.
One of the most unknown but better options in Santorini.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool museum on the history of the large tomato growing industry on Santorini (Thira). All of the growing went away once the island switched to tourism and started growing grapes for wine.
Worth th visit if you can make it.

I really enjoyed this place, beautiful setting right next to the harbour and beach - super interesting.
It's not just about tomatoes, it gives you a real insight into life on Santorini and it's inhabitants.
Watch the video at the end if you have time!
The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
The jam they make is delicious, regret not buying any (we were hand luggage only so would have been too much liquid!). The gift shop is lovely and has local pieces and some unusual souvenirs as well as the more obvious stuff.
