We booked a short break for 12 of us to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday. What should have been a relaxing and straight forward checking in to the hotel was a nightmare! An absolute shambles! We arrived at the hotel at 6.40am and we were told that we had to wait for the reception staff to check us at 7am when her shift started. We waited in reception until the reception manager (Angela) started her shift. She informed us that we were late, as the hotel was expecting us the day before (Sunday). We explained that our flight arrived at 5am local time and On The Beach had booked the flight and hotel, therefore there was a miscommunication between the two companies. We were shown to our rooms, which were located at the far side of the hotel, too small to fit 3 people per room and not fit to accommodate anyone ! It looked like that part of the hotel hadn't been used for a while, because there were lots of safety issues, it looked like building work was being carried out, rubbish over the balcony, such as mattress, old toilets, crates and discarded building materials, a loose banister at the entrance. Two of the rooms were too small for fit 3 beds, one being a trundle bed, all of the rooms had something wrong: damp smell, big holes in the wall, sewage smell coming from drains, mosquitoes and ants, faulty locks, live wires in two rooms!! We were very unhappy with the rooms that we were given and made our feelings known to the manager (Angela) and asked to be moved, which she refused. We asked her to look at the rooms and told her that to accommodate guests in rooms with live wires was unacceptable, especially when two of the members of the party were in their 60's! Her reply was that it wasn't her fault and we were told that we couldn't be moved, because the hotel was full! Angela seemed annoyed with us, unsympathetic and unconcerned. We explained again that two of the people were elderly with health problems and they could not stay in any of the rooms. Angela was very dismissive and told us that there was nothing she could do. We asked to speak to the Hotel Manager and she told us that he wouldn't be at the hotel until late afternoon. After failing to get an acceptable response from Angela at 11am we contacted On The Beach customer service. They told us that they would speak to the hotel and if we couldn't get better rooms they would move us to another hotel in the area. We didn't unpack, moved our bags to reception and after a while the bar manager Theo spoke to us on behalf of the Hotel manager. We explained the situation to him and told him that Angela’s customer service was appaling: unprofessional and very rude! We asked him to look at the rooms and after inspecting them he agreed that the rooms were not acceptable and he could see why we were so upset and maybe if we were ‘younger’ it would be ok ! Theo was professional, calm and listened to our concerns. He told us that he would discuss it with the other manager. He offered us 2 different rooms for Monday, but the other rooms would only be free on Tuesday, which we declined and told him that we would rather go to another hotel. Finally by late afternoon he managed to find us 4 rooms to our satisfaction. We wasted most of our first day on holiday sorting out the accommodation which was booked a year in advanced!! We were made to feel like trouble makers, because we were a large group, which was upsetting even though we never raised our voices and was always respectable when talking to staff. We managed to overcome our initial disappointment and enjoyed our break; however this IS NOT a 4 star hotel!!! It’s badly managed, food was of poor quality, cold and not enough quantity was put out for the numbers of guests they had staying and when items ran out they were not replaced.

Not quite sure where they decide the star rating of this hotel....if it's a 4 as it has gym facilities it seems as though they need to revisit the gym has 5 pieces of equipment and 2 are broken no free weights. They have a very small shop but it doesn't offer anything to keep your family busy (it does state this is family friendly) there is zero entertainment offered through the day or the evening so if the family are with you buy some cards! Bedroom - sea view, fantastic view but the room is terrible no tea or coffee facilities no microwave (again family friendly). The 'resturant' offers buffet style Luke warm food with no signage - very little for vegetarians or kids (again family friendly) we also have to clean the high chair before every meal as they are left dirty. The only thing that is a big plus is the all inclusive cocktails list. Overall I would struggle to give this hotel a 2 star rating let alone a 4- however the staff are very friendly and offer help.

I don't have a very good opinion of the hotel. We book 3 rooms for 6 adults and 4 children. One member of staff asked our children to be quiet, if hotel is open to children. If they want piece and quiet the managers should think about changing hotel to adults only. The food is not good and don't have many options. The staff wasn't friendly apart from the 2 in reception and one called Theo in the bar. No entertainment for children. And we found 1 metre snake in kids park which we warn staff on the bar and they took no notice about it. Then we called other member of staff that manage to take the snake to a bowl and the snake escape and it's free somewhere in the hotel.

My partner and I stayed for 5 nights at the end of August, booked with Jet2 and our stay was £600 each. Shown as a 4-star hotel. The good things about this hotel are the quiet location (about 30 minutes from the airport), fantastic views, well laid out different pool areas and the friendly staff. The not so positive things about the hotel are the limited and luke warm food and badly executed amenities in the room. In regard to the food, we understand fully that COVID restrictions are in place. The hotel did try (before we arrived) to move from the usual buffet style to a set menu, served at your table. Guests complained. The hotel then went to a minimum buffet style, but the staff served you want you want. This idea is not working as the food was always luke warm and often the same. A new solution needs to be found, as it is not that difficult to keep food hot. We ended up eating out as tepid chicken and pork is a recipe for a bad stomach. The other annoyances were in the room. The shower was fixed on a hook on the wall over the bath but was directed towards the shower curtain. This always flooded the bathroom floor and it was difficult to shower effectively. The hot water in the bathroom sink was never hot, again just tepid. The air con in the room was effective but the heat exchange was on the balcony. So, if you wanted to sit on the balcony, you couldn’t have the air con working as it was horrendously hot. The staff and the design are the assets of this hotel but simple errors, especially in the rooms coupled with the poor food, let the hotel down, making it a 3 star in my opinion. Given the price charged by Jet 2, it was not good value for money. One final point was the internet. We were on Vodafone and the signal throughout the hotel was terrible. Data speeds on 3G/4G were inconsistent and very slow. The hotel wifi was useless. We understand the hotel will close on September 20th, 2020 and not re-open until the season starts next year. Hopefully when they do open again, they can sort out the negatives.

We really enjoyed our stay here, its not perfect and we had a few issues but the feel of the place makes up for it. We stayed at the start of the season so it was quiet and a few problems popped up but were dealt with quickly. The staff were great, always happy and helpful. The food was amazing though sometimes on the cooler side but plenty to choose from and fresh. The deserts were amazing with on average 5 to choose from. There are two adult pools, one childs paddling pool and the sea right outside with shower and toilets near by, making poolside days easier. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so very peaceful. A short walk (10 min) takes you to the local super market. There is a bus twice a day from the end of the road or you can get a taxi 11€ or ask if the hotel driver can taxi you to the nearest town - or 24€ to get to Zante town. Getting a taxi back is easy too as most drivers speak some English or you can show them the location you want on your phone! Although there was no evening entertainment music is played quietly in the back ground so a relaxing evening playing cards or chatting can be had at the bar which had a good selection of drinks available. All in all we enjoyed a thoroughly good holiday.
