Здесь вы сможете погрузиться в реальную, простую атмосферу "кусочка" греческой жизни. Внешний вид таверны "Barba Yannis" довольно скромный и ни чем не выделяется на фоне неоновых ярких вывесок конкурентов. Вы скорее всего пройдёте мимо, не обратив внимание на эту таверну. И совершенно зря! Заглянув случайно в это место, наша семья была очарованна гостеприимством, любезностью, вниманием хозяев, греческой семьи- владельцев таверны. Вам предложат замечательные традиционные блюда греческой кухни. Всё по-домашнему вкусно! Порции большие, щедрые, а цены вас приятно удивят. Трудно найти место, где вам предложат более низкую цену. We visited this tavern repeatedly in August 2017. A real traditional greek tavern without tinsel for tourists. Here you can immerse yourself in the real, simple atmosphere of a "piece" of Greek life. The appearance of the tavern "Barba Yannis" is rather modest and does not stand out against the background of neon bright signs of competitors. You will most likely pass by without paying attention to this tavern. And completely in vain! Having accidentally looked into this place, our family was fascinated by the hospitality, courtesy, attention of the owners, of the Greek family-owners of the tavern. You will be offered wonderful traditional Greek cuisine. Everything is delicious at home! The portions are large, generous, and the prices will pleasantly surprise you. It is difficult to find a place where you will be offered a lower price. Believe me, but rather check it yourself! S	Susur Niek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local 'taverna' with homemade cuisine. The mom runs the kitchen. The food chosen (meat) has good quality and taste. The traditional moussaka is very good, but I don't have any term comparable as it is my very first moussaka taste. Very kind staff, attentive and likeable. As in many places like this one, the fresh fruits after the dinner are offered by the house. Generous portions, very affordable prices, true sign of genuine cuisine: the fried chips are true fried fresh potatoes, not the junk of the fast foods. A must to try is the local wine, truly homemade.

Everything was soooooo delicious! Everything was fresh and home cooked. If you are looking for home cooked Cretan food, then this is the place for you. Valadis is a warm host and has elevated our travel experience because we feel like we made a friend in the short time we were here. We will be back.
M	Martin Haueise on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One employee was friendly, the boss was unfriendly. The fries were greasy and almost raw, like they'd been cooked in a lukewarm deep fryer. The meat was tough and gristly. The lemon that was included was already dry. Not to be recommended.
C	Carina Dannenmaier on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was the worst tavern I have ever been to and also the worst food I have ever been offered. I ordered Saganaki and it definitely had nothing to do with it. It was a lukewarm cheese with egg - inedible. The staff was also very inappropriate. We were watched throughout and when we returned the food (which we did because of the inedible condition) the staff was not even asked why. An impertinence to offer such a meal and such a Service. If I could give zero stars, I would do so!
