Αντώνης hat uns einen Einblick in die griechische Handwerkskunst der Seifenherstellung gegeben, die mit seinem Großvater bereits vor knapp 100 Jahren begonnen hat. Diese beginnt ganz abgelegen in einem kleinen Steinhaus, umgeben von zahlreichen Olivenbäumen. Er hat uns über das altertümliche Verfahren aufgeklärt, die Rezeptur vermittelt und gemeinsam mit uns eine traditionelle Seife herstellt. In seinem Atelier hat er uns seine verschiedenen Seifen gezeigt, die er mit viel Liebe und Hingabe herstellt, verpackt und vertreibt. Dabei hat er die verschiedenen Zutaten genauestens beschrieben und die Werkzeuge vorgestellt, die er dafür verwendet. Anschließend haben wir uns bei einem Kaffee und einer speziellen griechischen Süßigkeit unterhalten und über die griechische Kultur ausgetauscht. Wir sind glücklich und dankbar, Teil seiner Geschichte und Kultur zu sein zu dürfen und können seinen Workshop nur weiterempfehlen. Wer zum Urlaub in der Nähe ist, sollte dieses einzigartige Erlebnis auf jeden Fall nicht verpassen! In Halkidiki it is often difficult to learn about the cultural and craft history of the Greeks. Αντώνης gave us an insight into the Greek craftsmanship of soap making, which his grandfather started almost 100 years ago. This begins in a very secluded place in a small stone house, surrounded by numerous olive trees. He explained the ancient process to us, gave us the recipe and made a traditional soap together with us. In his studio he showed us his various soaps, which he makes, packs and sells with a lot of love and dedication. He described the various ingredients in great detail and presented the tools he uses for them. Afterwards we talked over a coffee and a special Greek sweet and exchanged about Greek culture. We are happy and grateful to be part of his history and culture and can only recommend his workshop. If you are in the vicinity for vacation, you should definitely not miss this unique experience!

In a small hut the guy in charge very kindly and friendly was showing us the process of making the soaps and explaining us the properties of each kind of it: pure olive, lavande, pine, etc. They do all with cold press process wich maintains the quality of the oils. Great experience and very very happy with my purchase. Thanks

Variety is quite big, meaning somebody can find what is looking for. I realized that using the appropriate soap dish with holes so the water drains out, would definitely make a huge difference in the life of soap. Would recommend it 100%!
