★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monastery was closed, and not very charming to look at from the outside. However, the drive towards the monastery (and especially the scenery) was amazing. Lots of great places with beautiful panoramic views. So, two stars for a tourist attraction, which of course, it isn't.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We drove across the island but this place was closed when we got there. I am not sure what the hours are. We did go on a nice walk to Cape Skiza which made it worth it. I sad that monasteries are not used like they used to be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monastery was closed when we visited. The view from the yard is nothing amazing, but luckily we brought our drone. Thia is honedtly the best place for aerial photography on the west side of the island. The drive from Lixouri port up here on the mountain was amazing too. Definitely this is a gem of Kefalonia leaser known to the world.
