Maria is the kindest, most attentive host. I am currently enjoying my 4th stay here. I have been with groups, as a couple and a double couple. Her food is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. We'll be back again soon!

***WARNING*** Hello, just taking time out of our vacation to write about this place called Vasilaras Hotel, the first place we stayed when we arrived in Greece, the place where we had booked a "Honeymoon" suite online; and recieved confirmation, only to show up and find them to be completely clueless to who we were. Lesson One: DONT BOOK ONLINE A little weary and tired after a long travel, all you want to do is get to your room, and alas, we dont have one… So after about an hour (not really a big deal) the "Lady" had said she had fixed it gave us our key, and took no ownership of the original ball dropping. We got to the room, reliazed it was a junior superior suite, definately not the Honeymoon suite, Okay, what ever, we're in the honeymoon spirit, we can make it work. We had told the land lady that we realized we were in a junoir superior suite, and she said "yes yes, I'll fix the price," okay, good, communication. We had beautiful experiences at some amazing quality restuarants, talking to friendly people, and getting to know our surroundings. The Honeymoon suite thing, was now just a inside joke that me and my wife would laugh about, saying "ahh, it's not that bad". Lesson Two: CHECK YOUR BILL Upon check out she said, with the air of doing us this grand favour, that she would take 15 Euro's off for each night, the math didn't add up, Honeymoon suite 160 Euro's for 2 days, breakdown: 80 a day Junior Superior suite 80 Euro's for 2 days, breakdown: 40 a day She wanted us to pay a premium price of 65 Euro's a day, 25 Euro's more than usual per day, and for what?! for having our reservation totally forgoten about, for not getting the jaccuzzi in our room as we had requested from the get go, it was just a shame to be swindled on your way our the door, from a poor experience to begin with. We held our ground pretty firm though, not like us at all really, but we both felt that this was ridiculous, and honestly it totally was. He closing rebutal was that, once again as she was granting us this great favour, "Okay, fine, you pay what you want, if we have this talk, you'll be upset, and we'll be upset, no need for this" Yes, agreed. But it was too late, And when you've clearly been busted for trying to over charge some one, only then try and take this high road approach, it was far from flattering. Aswell as the fake forced smiles we were given as a parting gift were far from genuine, left us just feeling weird and awkward. Apparently you have to give at least 1 star, well let me tell you, it's a stretch. Martin.

Medium to large seize hotel with spacy rooms over the harbour connected to Piraeus and Aegina by ferry. Warm people run the place offering a very good breakfast and house cooking dishes. Has a pool and overlooks the harbour.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. Well maintained rooms. Minus one ?for not being able to provide clean bed sheets and towels when requested. Overall, very pleased

“Cockroaches Welcome!” At 1:00 am we found a cockroach in our room, we all went to find some help because I have a fobia but unfortunately for us there was nobody there to help and no contact number whatsoever (anyone being in need at night they’re on their own). Me and my daughter went to sleep in my friend’s room who had booked a triple bedroom, therefore there where people in the bedroom with no place to sleep. The next morning when I went to explain the situation to the owner, instead of letting me explain what had happened the night before she started screaming at me saying that being in the countryside cockroaches in bedrooms are completely normal, she told me to go pack my stuff and ordered me to leave.I did pack my bags and took care of the economic situation with the owner’s mother, because I did not want to interact with such a disrespectful and ill mannered person.

Amazing hotel with great hosts. Wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island. Easy 5 stars!

The staff was friendly but I didn’t really get the same vibe from the owners. We arrived Sunday if the Orthodox Easter and they had a party with extremely loud music to the point where my ears hurt. But other people seemed to like it. The sound wasn’t good though. They put us in a room which is basically a basement and it was not good at all even though it was quite spacious to be honest. But it was very humid and the ac didn’t warm the place adequately. The mattress was hard as the pillows too and the duvet was very thin. Long story short we didn’t sleep well and we didn’t have a good experience there. The breakfast didn’t seem something spectacular either and they wanted to charge us 8.5 euros extra for that. Didn’t seem particularly vegan friendly either.
