We had a great table at the open doorway facing the walkway. Perfect for people-watching. Staff were friendly and efficient. My wife and I did not complain or send anything back, but only because it just isn't our way when we are traveling internationally. We take what we're served. But our rather enjoyable visit to Veneto was a comedy of errors. We were happy to find Manhattans on the cocktail menu, but the "Manhattans" were served in Old Fashioned glasses, with ice, and without a cherry. They were, in fact, Old Fashioneds (and delicious). Serving Old Fashioneds as Manhattans is typical throughout Greece, but no less frustrating for being typical. The "Caprese salad" had no balsamic vinegar but rather a pesto drizzle. It wasn't awful, it just wasn't an authentic Caprese. Veneto bills itself as an authentic Italian restaurant, but this salad was Greek Italian, not Italian. The "spaghetti marinera" was spaghetti with a non-tomato cream sauce. It was delicious but wasn't Marinera. Marinera is a tomato-based sauce. Always. The risotto in the "Risotto Frutti de Mare" was under-cooked rice, as we've found elsewhere in Greece. Very disappointing because the Frutti de Mare was very nice. The risotto ruined the dish. We liked everything except the risotto, but virtually nothing was right. Old Fashioneds for Manhattans; pesto for balsamic vinegar; cream sauce for marinera; and under-cooked rice for risotto.

If you want to find a good Italian restaurant, you have it here! Don't go any further ? Tastes are fantastic, portions are greatly balanced and still generous... You have to give it a try!

Amazing... we needed Italian to finish off the week, and we got it. We went off piste by recommendation and had the Ravioli with Truffle oil, followed by the veal with 4 cheese tortellini...... well done for making our last night fantastic.....now to finish the well served chianti classico......

Very nice Italian restaurant in downtown Chania. Tucked away from main Street area. The wait staff are very nice. The food is delicious.

This restaurant deserves a 5-star review! Very cozy and clean. Nice music while you are enjoying the food. Super friendly and caring personnel. We were treated very well. And the most important was the food we had, so delicious and fresh with nice spices. It is highly recommended!

I love my pizza. My wife is a take it or leave it type with pizza. We both agreed this place served the best pizza we have ever had. The only place in our 9 day stay which we ate at twice and we did try to choose all the fancy top rated Chania places according to Google maps reviews. So glad we did a walk in here based on how inviting the courtyard looked. Amazing food, great ambiance, lovely staff. Nothing short of 5/5.

The restaurant grabs you from the street with two absolutely amasing things - its beautiful courtyard and the welcoming smile of Andrea - the owner. I just asked for permission to take a photo of the small garden surrounding the restaurant tables while walking on the busy street and ended up spending an hour of dining and frequent brisk convesrations with the owner. Amazing place and service. Thank you for having me, Andrea!

No way I could give this place less than 5/5. Super friendly service, real authentic Italian food in generous portions and a great atmosphere, even though it's in the middle of the touristy area. Highly recommended!
