Villa 5 Anemoi - Lefkogia Crete

Lieu exceptionnel, déjà passé une semaine en 2016 et de retour cette année pour une semaine toujours en admiration de l'endroit, de la gentillesse des voisins et surtout les propriétaires, des gens très accueillants, généreux, sympathiques et qui sont devenus des amis.

Nous venons, mon épouse et moi,de passer quatres semaines à la Villa Pente Anemoi, comme nous le faisons depuis plusieurs années.Je suis très étonné de l'avis du Monsieur qui ne donne qu'un étoile! Mais il me semble que SON avis est singulièrement différent des autres, en tout cas du mien. Si je reviens chaque année à Lefkogia et à la Villa, c'est que je m'y sens tout à fait bien. Il est clair que si vous cherchez la vie d'une station balnéaire du type de celles qui jonchent la route allant de Heraklion à Agios Nicolas,passez votre chemin. Par contre à Lefkogia, vous vivrez dans une ambiance authentiquement Crétoise, avec tout ce que cela comporte de contacts enrichissants que vous pouvez, si vous le désirez, entretenir avec vos voisins du quartier(très calme d'ailleurs).Le village est un vrai village de bord de mer, situé à environ deux Km des plages, ce qui le protège de la masse touristique.Si vous désirez un soir ou deux un bain de foule,faites env cinq km et rendez vous à Plakias, sympathique station balnéaire pas encore trop abîmée par le tourisme de masse. Depuis que nous y allons, je me suis fait passablement d'amis, même en ne possédant que des rudiments de la langue, mais tout le monde, là-bas, est si gentil,qu'il est très facile de converser et de nouer des contacts. La Villa est très bien située, juste à l'écart comme il le faut,les propriétaires Hlias et Betty sont devenus de vrais amis.Hlias est très efficace, quand on a besoin de lui, même pour un apéritif ??,très serviable,et Betty, qui s'occupe du ménage est très attentionnée( elle parle bien le français et l'anglais,la Villa est dans un état de propreté que je voudrais bien voir aussi en Suisse, parfois. Je vous le répète:si vous vous attendez à des vacances dans un resort de la côte nord, n'y allez pas. Si vous voulez vivre vraiment une ambiance régionale, c'est une location idéale. Seule ombre au tableau, ne louez pas en septembre jusqu'à minimum 2050, c'es moi qui l'ai fait, HÉ HÉ??

Une maison ancienne restaurée avec énormément de charme, très confortable et agréable à vivre à deux familles, située dans un charmant village, proche de magnifiques plages, avec des possibilités de belles balades à pied. Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans ce coin authentique de Crête, grâce notamment à l'accueil chaleureux et attentionné de Betty.

Im September haben wir eine herrliche Woche in dem Ferienhaus Villa Pente Anemoi verbracht. Es war ein Glücksfall, dass wir die Villa buchen konnten. Im September ist die Villa von Dauergästen über Jahre belegt. Was für ein schönes Ankommen! Der herzliche Empfang mit kretischen Köstlichkeiten und die vorzügliche Betreuung der Besitzer Betty und Hlias haben uns ganz besonders gefreut. Die Einladung, ihre Lefgogia Farm zu besuchen, haben wir dankbar angenommen. Wir waren begeistert von ihrem Leben auf dem Bauernhof mit Pferden, Ziegen und Hunderten von Olivenbäumen ... Pente Anemoi ist ein wunderschönes 150 Jahre altes Bauernhaus, das mit viel Charme restauriert und mit bestem Komfort ausgestattet wurde. Die Villa bietet mehr als man braucht. Wunderschön rustikal eingerichtete Wohn- und Schlafraüme, komfortabele Bäder und schattige Terassen. Wichtig war uns, dass die Küche zum selber Kochen gut ausgestattet ist und es einen Gas Grill gibt. Die Villa ist sehr schön und angenehm ruhig am Ortsrand von Lefkogia gelegen. Tavernen und ein Supermarkt sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Lefkogia hat seinen ursprünglichen Charme als kleines Bauerndorf erhalten und ist nicht touristisch überlaufen. Man kann von dort aus direkt zu wunderschönen Wanderungen starten. Die schönsten Strände Kreta's sind nur 2 Kilometer entfernt. Das herrlich gelegene Plakias und kleine Bergdörfer mit guten Tavernen sind ebenfalls nahe gelegen. Für uns war Pente Anemoi die beste Wahl! 2019 haben wir bereits gebucht und freuen uns sehr auf Lefkogia und Euch, Betty und Hlias, wieder zu sehen! Werner

Nous avons passé une super semaine en famille dans cette villa très confortable et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Elle se présente comme un petit village avec sa terrasse ombragée sur laquelle donnent toutes les pièces. L’accueil que nous avons reçu de Betty, la propriétaire, fut très chaleureux : elle fut très attentionnée et veilla à ce que tout se passa au mieux pour nous, nous donna de bons conseils pour les visites, les plages et les tavernes,... Petit plus : nous étions accueilli dans leur ferme quand nous le souhaitions : un endroit magnifique et calme. Les enfants ont pu s’occuper des animaux, tirer à l’arc,.... Lefkogia est un village très tranquille et très bien situé pour découvrir le sud de la Crète. Nous recommandons donc cette location et espérons y revenir un jour...

Wunderschön! Die Villa 5 Anemoi ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail restauriert hat dieses historische Gebäude einen ganz eigenen Charme ohne auf modernen Komfort verzichten zu müssen. Die Terasse ist ein Traum, der kleine Pool prima für die Kinder. Tolle Gastgeber, gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge, Strandbesuche und alles, was man braucht ist in der Nähe. Unbedingt zu empfehlen!

Wonderful place, close to beautifull beaches, lovely village. We felt very welcome, the owners are incredibly friendly and helpfull. The house was cosy and comfortable. We had a fantastic holliday and felt sad to leave.

Let me start by saying that I would much rather be writing a 5 star review of this villa, just like the prior reviewers who motivated us to rent the villa for 10 days. Alas, in good conscience, I cannot. The villa is quaint in a rustic sort of way (although overrun by ants, even if you are careful about putting the food away) and it lies in the town of Lefkogeia at the end of a rambling alley full of one and two story homes, some of which are in a state of disrepair or have been half-finished and abandoned. The town of Lefkogeia itself is convenient, albeit unremarkable with the exception of the excellent Taverna Stelios, where we dined almost every night. The nearby beaches are quite nice and characterized by small to medium sized coves with some great areas for snorkeling, swimming and relaxed sunbathing. Our group was large and included many young children and while we did our best to keep the place neat, there were times when LEGO parts, books and clothes were strewn all over the floor. Since we are the sort of people who keep our own homes clean and organized, we made it a point to tidy everything up at the end of every day. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication, we did not realize that the proprietress, Betty, was coming by to clean the villa on a Sunday and we were caught unprepared — we had left in a hurry to visit a monastery and then the fortress at Rethymno, so the place was in a state of disarray and we had planned to put our things away when we returned later that afternoon (it was, after all supposed to be a vacation!). That evening, without so much as a phone call or message via WhatsApp (we were using it to communicate with Betty), we received the following email from the booking agency, etouri: “Ms. Betty is terribly upset by the way she found the villa today. She has been renting her villa to clients for the past ten years and she told me she has never seen the villa in such a state. The floors were full of things thrown all over the place; toys, boardgames, clothes, undergarments, to name a few. There was so much stuff everywhere she couldn’t even clean properly. She feels you are not regardful of her villa and has asked me to inform you to please pick up after yourself, and if she finds the villa on the 1st of Aug. (next cleaning) in the state in was in today she will ask you to leave. At that point we will refund you your money for the last days.” Notwithstanding her later apology, Betty’s eviction notice and persistent needling and strange behavior unsettled all of us, kids included, and ruined our vacation. I’ve travelled the world with my family and rented homes dozens of times without incident. My rating as a guest on Airbnb is excellent and I make it a point to be a considerate tourist. I only wish that the villa and its management had lived up to prior reviews. For these reasons, Villa Pente Anemoi, Betty and etouri travel earned one star.
