Villa Christina - Ντάπια

Very clean rooms and warm hospitality!!

Found this place through Google maps. The pictures shown on line are charming. Everything would have gone perfect if not upon arrival me and my partner Petros Kamariotakis were escorted to a different establishment called Pansion Panos which was opposite to Villa Christina. At first we thought that it would be the same as we saw in the pictures but... Pansion Panos was a disappointment. The room was in a building that looked like a forgotten outdated motel. It was filthy and it smelled like a sewer. I will add photos of Pansion Panos that proves what I stated above. We contacted the person who made us the booking, greeted us and escorted us to the different building. After match complaining and conversing via phone and up close he gave us a room in Villa Christina but on a different price than what we booked. He explained that the rooms in Villa Christina are more expensive than the rooms on Pansion Panos. Bare in mind that we initially booked for Villa Christina. We heard excuses like: We are fully booked, the rooms are the same and regarding the cleanliness he was defensive and told us that the person who cleaned our room is a capable employee and he can't believe that the room is dirty. After about an hour and a half of negotiating and waiting and going back and forward we finally got in the room. I only had one issue there and that was the blanket covering our bed. It was dirty full of body hairs and when I asked the person that cleaned our room to take the blanket and clean it as we are not going to use it, she replied that we should store it in a cabinet on the closet and when I asked her if she has cleaned it she replied that she has not cleaned it for 3 days!!! It feels like they were trying to scam us. We paid or agreed to pay for something totally different than what they tried to offer us upon arrival and if we had not said something we would have stayed in Pansion Panos. The person in charge made us feel as if we were overreacting as he explained that the rooms are the same and he also tried to upsell us the rooms in Villa Christina as they are different!!! We did not get any breakfast which uppon booking was included in the price and they offered us a discount that meant we got to keep the original pricing!!! It is an ordeal that we prefer to forget and also I surely do not recommend to anyone this establishment.

We asked for a quiet place, I insisted on that and they assured us it is very quiet place. But when we got there, there were motorbike, passing by the window, all night long, till the morning. And the bed, the doors, the windows were noisy too, in every move. It was horrible, we couldn't sleep at all. There was two closet. The one of them was closed by the third bed, the free one, was closed by the owner. So, no closet for us. There were only 1 pillow per person and not any spears. We returned late, when I asked for pillows, and the owner couldn't give me any. There were two little bottles of shower gel, for three people. The room was so small, couldn't move... We left the other day at 11:00 and the owner asked for 30 euros as a penalty!! He lied to us and he wanted to be paid extra. When I didn't, he yield at me :"Leave in 5 minutes, 5. Do you here me??" What a disgrace!! How unprofessional!!

The best & most quintessential hotel in Spetses. Coming with whole my family for 30+ years and we are keep on coming! Owners are welcoming & nice people!

Traditional Greek environment with beautiful view, very convenient location, very welcoming and helpful staffs. Definitely will come back again!

It was awful!! The host told us the moment we arrived, despite our agreement, that we had to move to a different accommodation, because the villa christina was booked for a wedding afterall... He moved us to panos pension. The room was undescriable.. It was never opened or cleaned before, it was really dirty, the sheets werent new, under the beds we found cockroaches and the bathroom was in a really terrible situation. When we called him and told him to find us another room, he responded that he couldnt do anything, until we threatened him with tourist police, he found us a room in another undescriable hotel at 2 o clock in the morning.... To sum up the host of villa christina is not professional, not kind and uwilling to assist or solve the problems he created. He wanted to charge us 120€ for that terrible room, that it wasnt worth 20€... Avoid him, he tried to trick us..

I have to testify one more over-booking experience and as I read we are not the only. Instead of an apology and an upgrade as industry standard, the owner tried to trick us into stay in a cheap pansion 50m away from villa Christina telling us the rooms are the same. We stayed 15 minutes until we found "male body fluids " on the ferniture. We left the place immediately. He offered us to return the next day to take back half of the money we payed in front. Zero stars for professionalism

The worst accommodation around of Greece. Super dirty rooms & Breakfast for kids.
