The best villa in corfu for family vacations

Amazing place. Fantastic view. Very friendly hostess.

We stayed there for about 8 days. We were 13 descent people. We booked it because we celebrate our friend's birthday in July every year and we meet in one summer destination. We are all hard working successful people, very descent. The villa: a really beautiful place , very clean. Well maintained until a certain extent , the location is nice. 4,5 km from the nearest town but also 2 km from the nearest beach. The swimming pool is very nice. The rooms are also good. Kitchens are well equipped. The only problem we had during our stay at nights was the massive number of mosquitos that were invincible. The check in: upon check in the management lady met us on time. We were actually a little late because the weather was really rainy suddenly and we had a convertible so we suffered a bit until we got there. The check in took more than an hour of explanation and sudden " NEW RULES " , it appeared to us at the beginning that the management judged us from the beginning because we arrived all wet and in swimming wear so they kinda thought we were a bunch of hooligans who would crash the villa. The second part which i personally didn't like is the question why are we all from different countries and what are we doing on such a long vacation. Tbh: this is not your business. The other negative thing about the check in is that while we booked the villa on Airbnb it was written no extra fees are to be paid. But the lady and under the section of "new rules" wanted a 300 euros deposit. Which is not fair and very fishy and we felt it's more like a fee for being young and their opinion possibly a threat to the maintenance of the villa. Accidents: on the first night we were all enjoying the pool bar and playing cards. When the time came for us to go to bed we opened the ground floor apartment and it was flooded with massive water explosion out of the blue. We messaged the management. They immediately responded and came to fix it. And it was no one's fault as a water tube exploded by itself. Good job that's a Plus for responsible management. Negative. What was negative about this place is that the manager of the villa would come at anytime to the villa unannounced and without prior warning. We were wondering how would that be of any logic. What if we were having private moments together? The worst of that is the fact that the last just comes in without ringing a bell or sending a message and she would just get in the villa with a "smile" checking on us. This is utterly unacceptable and if i were the only person renting that I would have unleashed my anger but since it was our friend's birthday week we maintained calm. The second negative part is that the husband of the manager and the pool guy would also just come into the villa almost every morning at 6 or 7 am to clean the pool. But wouldn't it be better if they would just announce or ask us if we would like that at this or that hour? These are things that need to be improved in the management of this Vila. Finally, this villa is beautiful. Really really really beautiful. But of you're going with you friends and their girlfriends and want to make sure not to be interrupted you better tell the management not to interrupt if they would ever accept because there is always a BUT. This is an amazing villa. It is a unique offer because of its size and concept. There are 4 independent apartments, with their own kitchen and baths. There is also a large living room as common space, and every other room has access to balconies, with wonderful view. The most valuable part of the house is the pool kitchen, barbecue, and common space near the pool, ideal for diners and breakfast. This is ideal for up to four families, it offers as much comfort and privacy as possible, the best of both - the world of hotels and private accommodation. Every apartment contains a big screen TV (in case you need a TV in such rich environment with natural beauties). All amenities that you can possibly need are there, from the hair dryers to the coffee-machines. Bed sheets and towels are changed every 4-5 days, cleaning is done regularly but you can arrange anything with Sofia. Cleanliness is on a highest level. A very nice family that owns the property has thought of each detail, anything you might need, they will certainly make available for you. The photos are not covering all that the house is offering. There is also a small basketball court (We have ran over the basketball with a car, the last day, sorry about that) and a brand new tennis table unit, tennis rackets, balls, playing cards, chess, all barbeque necessities, every little detail is provided for your comfort – amazing. The northern Corfu, and area where the house is located is perfect. It is about 900m from a very nice sandy beach, and it overlooks a lake, a fishing area, where you can always buy fresh fish, and Prokletije mountains in the distance, which always paint a different landscape in mornings and evenings. The nearest touristic village is Kassiopi, about 10 minutes of driving so the house is isolated enough to provide peace and calm to its guests, but many nice beaches are not far away – Sidari is about 20 minutes of driving, Paleocastritsa 45 mins, Corfu city also 45mins. There are many activities offered right there – Horse riding, bike rentals with beautiful tours around the lake and nearest sandy beaches. At 5mins walking, there is a shop with everything you might need on daily basis – Lola shop and a nice beach bar to the right of the main beach, called Pyramid. In Acharavi, the nearest village – 5 mins driving from the house, you can find bigger supermarkets, but also diving and boat rentals, but I can recommend boat rentals in Sidari or Paleocastritsa. I think the hospitality of people on Corfu is well known, but I need to mention Manthos and Sofia, the owners of the villa – wonderful hosts. They are really paying attention to each detail and you can rely that they will help in anything you might need.
